Rolex posted a link to the Jon Millege intake and I about **** my pants. What a piece of art. Then we spoke on here in another thread about it a bit and he told me it was $5600 dollars! I know the guy is good but I'm wondering if it's that good. Anyone have any or know of any experience with this thing?

From what I hear.......... the $5600 is after you buy a complete engine from Mr. Milledge .

No you can't buy it even if you had the money. He only wants to sell them if you buy a complete engine from him.

I have seen 2 in person and they are pretty cool.

Huh, he was a bit more money than Powerhaus and further away too. Then again, he didn't have anywhere near that piece when i had my motor built. My intake is pretty nice. Pricey too. Anyone have besides me have experience with Powerhaus intake? When i upgrade the only thing I can look at is SFR and Milledge which seems to be out of the question. I wonder if SFR is better than mine.

Couldn't tell ya, but I've been bugging Jon for awhile as well...one day either he'll break or I will. What is the price tag on one of his motors?

Read what I just posted, the long post at the bottom. I wouldn't buy that intake from him, even if I had a race car for that price, or anything else, no offense to anyone. Click on the link below to see what I said. Before I went with Lindsey back in 2003, I had first contacted JME. Why? Because with the little knowledge I had, I heard he was the best. Read my posting, it's not about the intake per se, but my thoughts on him and his technology today, versus the Gomes and Chris Whites too!

Shiza! I had no idea he was like that. That said though, I think David at Powehaus Racing is one of the best guys I've ever met. Many on here would disagree saying he has a personality similar to Jon's. I looked at him too but had no idea that $45kish was for a 2.5!

I read your post and I would agree fully Rob, there are better things out there. I had no idea he was that much more than Powerhaus. Even my motor, almost six years old is somewhat outdated. Many other bolt on parts out there that will give my motor new life. I'm extremely happy with the build quality of my motor but there are upgrades I would now want.

ITB Is not so essencial for making big horspower but the key is much better responce, and it gives you feeling that you have less lag etc. same car with ITB setup most likely will put down same amount of HP as STB on top end..maybe a couple more hp, but its not definitely the best mod for the buck thing. If you are in the end of the line with modifications then sure, this is something you should do, but do all the other things before. Calculating the hp/money ratio we will see that you get approx 1hp/280 dollars 20hp/5600 dollars

I have thought about ITB setup as well. But never ever I will use the one in milledge site. I will have it custom made with hayabusa throttle body's dual plenum and velocity stacks - if ever.. Hayabysa TB are 50mm same as 968 intake ports so they are perfect..add velocity stacks + dual plenum and you will have ultimate intake manifold!

What year 'Busa for the 50mm? All the info I've found says their 46mm..?

The home-made ITBs are a cool idea. Though from the looks of it, the throttle bodies that JME uses are 'barrel-type', which does add to the cost, opposed to regular butterfly types.

Joe, I'm not talking full blown racing applications, but for the type of use you and I would use our cars for. As you already know pal, with a few modern upgrades, and proper tuning, your car would go to the nexy level it isn't even funny. Again, NOT for endurance racing, for street and occassional tracking pal. Add that stuff to your car, and it would be more of Da Bomb!

This GSX-R 750 TB's are 48mm (shown on the picture) haybausa is 1300cm3 and they have bigger TB's.

Also BMW M3's M5's have ITB's. Nissan Skyline GT-R's have ITBS what can be adapted to porsche engines.. Friend is using 48mm TB on with 42mm intake porst so the lower end of the flange is ported conical..
