So you dont actually know what the head and lifters account for in terms of HP? Didnt you guys test it?

NZ: You are missing the point behind solid lifters set-up, i think you recall this valuable thread Solid Lifters .

I know LR lunched a whole bunch of lifters when trying radical cams where no one else seemed to... The comment was about the head AND lifter setup. As in, them working as a "team" of components, you are missing the point that higher rpm equals more power, solid lifters are designed to enable higher rpm. So there is an OBVIOUS relationship between these.

NZ: You also missed that the camshaft plays the key role. You are right, obviously there is a relation between all three components (cylinder head, camshaft profile and lifters). Thing is, each of these components alone achieve different results, since the cylinder head comes in different configurations (in terms of springs, retainters, valves and so on) and the various cam profiles, so it is very difficult to give out a HP/TQ number.

No, I didnt "miss" the cam, we were never talking about the cam, it was about head and lifters. Its very easy to test them, what you do is, do a dyno run before you change them, then do a dyno run after, then measure the difference. Then you can give approximate numbers on the change, kinda exactly what Special Tool has done with his head which he bought off Vitesse Racing.

Well, it has been a couple of hours, I know I should really be quicker than that, I feel ashamed I have not changed it sooner, I must learn to leave this thread open 24/7 so I can change the list as soon as possible so there isnt an outrage.

Can both of you guys keep the thread on track, please? Also, it would be nice if the ranking was updated too.

If you have a complaint about the threads track, send it to me in a PM, dont populate my thread with whining. And its been a couple of hours since Mike became a member, its not my full time job to keep the list up to the minute. Dont get your knickers all twisted about it. I will change it when I get home tonight. Is that ok baby?

NZ: Just a question, how does the dyno dynamics record 46whp less than the dynojet?

I have asked everyone to keep this thread on topic a few times. Take it to PM or email!!

I do not want to get one more reported post from this thread!!

John D. is probably sick of seeing them as well!!

I really would like for this thread to stay open, so please, no more nonsense!!

the infamous 27/6 run:

just don't actually post it

Oh and btw I think special tool should be in second,
46 more lb ft of tq is worth a hell of a lot more than 3 hp.

btw, which dyno reads low? mustang or dynojet?
