I have a list of people who have expressed an interest in buying Euro intake systems.

In the order I received their names:
Jessa
Harpo
Cory J
toofast928
Sueden

Today I have received 3 sets, and I am promised 1 more. Can the first 4 people on the list above please confirm they are still interested in a PM ?

Price is $450 delivered.

Best regards

If you are doing the euro intake, you have to remove it anyway, right, so yes, the " U" needs to be removed as does the rest of the intake

Again, those are some great pics. Ive done it twice and have no pics!! heat of the job, i get too focused to get it together and running!!

hey, where did you get alll the euro stuff?????

Im sure this will be the biggest upgrade for the older 928s of the century.

glad it is happening. are they all LHjetronic 84-85 euro, or early systems?

Sueden and toofast,
I've tried returning your PMs but the system won't accept my replies at present. I'll try again tommorrow (it's late here !)

Mark,
All the parts come from Euro S2 -LH equipped, 1984-1986. They are quite difficult to find here. There were only about 300 928s sold each year into England !

Some people are asking silly prices, so I've had to pass them by for now.

I'm still asking around.

Well I can't wait for these parts on my car, I just might have to take it down to a dyno about 45mins from where I live just to see what those Euro ''Jewels'' will do.
-Mark, when did you say you were getting that 82 dynoed that you have put the Euro Conversion on?
Thanks,
Cory J.

Hey John (toofast928) you quoted that your car ''L inj soon to be Maf''...are you doing a conversion, if so how and where woudl you get the parts to do it? Also, does anyone know of a muffler company like Borla or Flowmaster that makes a Dual IN Single Out design that would give good flow/power for my 82...i need a different sound other than this glasspack i have..
Thanks,
Cory J

Question for Mark.

If I understand it right, your attrabuting most of the increase to the TB. You say the intake tubes change like a mm or so. Nearly a neglegable amount.

Would it be possible to get another TB to work? Say one of an S3 or an older Euro S, or an S4, or an aftermarket unit to work?

Just curious.

Weissach1982,
I've been playing with a MAF conversion. Fitting a Ford MAF to the L injection "U" is easy. The hard part is a voltage gain signal box. Split Second has a digital box for $500. You see the air vane operates in a voltage range of 3v to 8v. The MAF sensor range is .7mv to 5v. So you have to boost (gain) the signal by linear 2v. I'm making a gain box using op-amp. Let you know if it works. I belive John with the turbo "bastard" used the Split Second digital box and had some good results. As far as the exhaust. I had ANSA, then tried RBM, then tried straight pipe and no cat. This combo was Loud, had top end but lost ALL the bottom end power. No fun to drive. I now use the single exhaust Borla, 2.5. (purchased it form a speed shop $430.00) and no cat. Lot's of power, nice sound, able to handle up to 320 hp, and the price is right.
The Borla single exhaust and the stainless steel manifolds from the 1985 928 is the best set up for the 4.5L. Remember with John's Euro intake and a few other mods the USA 4.5L can get close to 300 HP but not much more.

I dont see why not. just need to mount it to the U and figure out how to attach the linkage.

Here we go.

scots 82 dyno run .

yeeeeeuuuuuuck

need fuel regs!!!!! SOON!!

surprised he didnt blow the engine at sears!!!!!

actually, when you think about it, a 928 engine at less than 50hp per liter, which is like a 470hp engine, running at half throttle, and going 14.6:1 mixture. probably is not enough heat here to burn valves or melt the pistons. However, we would never know this until something broke.
bottomline, we need to add a bunch more fuel.

this what happens with a Ljet getting the euro intake stuff. I probably didnt know this with mine, becuase I had a 230hp rear wheel dyno run, the week before i got the devek fuel regs, and then did the tuning runs, and out of the shoot, i was 13.7:1. after tuning, 12.6 beginning to end PERFECT!!! 242 to the rear wheels, out of that OLD 4.7 with 140,000miles and 30 DE/race days!!!!!!

Notice the curve going lean with the eRAM turned on. at first, it is the same leanness, then, when the AFM cant respond with more fuel, it goes haywire. (close to 16:1 at somepoints.) actually, beyond 14.7 can be good, but you loose a lot of power, but the temp actually goes down after stoich. Hopefully, his pistons dont have holes in them. probably just gave them a good " forging" Ha ha
