This might help this thread - 16v anyway - here are some pictures of the difference in inside diameter of the standard 16v throttle body and runners side-by-side with the Euro...

I appologize as I have not read this entire thread, only parts... but I was wondering if there was a known place to order these euro throttlebodies from.

And what Euro 928 models did they come standard on if any?

"the runners and throttle body from a Euro S2 1984-86 are the ones...."

...that's only half-right. If you are running LH-Jetronic and want the "Euro" big runners and throttle body, then 84-86 engines marked M28/21 and M28/22 are your target.

But, if you have a CIS car (K-Jetronic) and want the big runners and throttle body, then you are trying to find a 80-83 M28/11 or M28/12 motor.

S2's only came in LH form, and were 21/22 as you say.

I don't think so Mark. But I'm sure you know more about the US cars than me :-)

I know there are Euro S2's in the US - were they a standard option for the USA ?

I had thought they were one-off imports..........any info you have would be welcome !

Maybe. I think the S1-2-3 was a little informal anyway.

bottomline, I think we know know if you are going to upgrade to euro stuff, if you are CIS, you are euroS 80-83 and if LJet, you need 84-85 euro.

Then, you get into the 4 valve models for both US and europe in 86 on.

(or 85/86) in the US.

Too bad Porsche just didnt have the same models world wide!!!

Any updates? Anyone feel performance increased? Before I put in the parts I've purchased I want to be sure it is worth the effort.

Cory (Weissach1982) seems to have disappeared from the face of the Earth, toofast928 says he'll be working on his car until March. That leaves myself. No changes here. I'm pretty upset about the whole thing, especially since I'm not willing (or able, for financial reasons) to do the cam and head upgrades necessary to get some results out of the intake, but I just have to chalk the whole thing up to a rather expensive learning experience.

Of course, it could just be my car. We won't know until someone else finishes their install.

I'm running a 78 with CIS and would be interested in swapping to the euro parts if there is really 3-40hp in there. Most if not all of the above seems to be about the later EFI cars.... or did I miss something? long thread...

Hey guys, sorry about the long time no talky. I feel like i've fallen off the face of the earth. I have some good news and bad news. The good news though, I did a 0-60 test on my car it is an auto, and I did manually shift it. My speedo is 7mph off, so i clocked it in at 53mph on what the speedometer was reading, it came to an impressive 7.4 seconds. Maybe it was just the weather tonight and it was running very very good tonight. If anyone who installs these parts correctly, and is an Auto, you will feel a gain in power. Kickdown at around 30-40mph so it goes into first (for the guys who have 3spds) and it jumps to 3800-4000rpms and its instantly to redline. Shifiting into 2nd gear and hitting 80 (on my speedo its actually 87 or so) is hella fast. Give or take it is time consuming and getting to everything...like removing the runners and pleunum etc..is a pain it does add up. Every 928 is different, in my opinion if you like the car give it a shot, its one of the few decent upgrades that the US 16V 928s have.

Now for the bad news, this is why i haven't been on here lately. I'm going to put it straight to you guys so...here it goes. I have to sell my car, I really don't want to being that i've invested a lot of time and effort into her, but i'm still in high school getting ready to graduate, don't have the steady income. I'm sure everyone has been there done that. The car will be going on Ebay here soon. My car is a weissach edition and not to bragg but is the best looking one i've ever seen. I'll list everything done to the car ad well as about 5-8 pictures inside and out. So if anyone is interested when I place it on there...you'll know its mine with the things i've done to it..hince only weissach auto with Euro Intake system.

Anyways it was good talking to you guys once again i've appreciated everyones help,
Hope everything goes well with your cars, godspeed.
Cory J.

How much are you looking for....if I might ask?

[I don't know dude...you can eat off the BOTTOM of Dennis Szeremet's Weissach-]

-No, let me rephase that slightly. How much $ would someone on here give a poor college student with great taste for his Weissach-? REMEMBER, there were only 205 built, and there is an original luggage set for sale on Ebay....

Cory - Sorry to hear about the sale. I'm sure another 928 will be in your future.

Do you have any advice or suggestions as to what it took to get the car running with that intake?
