as I was looking at the ad, I realized i had absolutely no reference point for what one of these would be worth. So let's just use this one for example. 83 manual widebody. I think euro? But not certain. How much in its current condition, and guesses if it was in good condition?

I thought punching a hole in the hood for the ratchet strap was a nice touch. Using the numerous other options that didn't include NOT DOING THAT would have been my first choice. #safety3rd

If someone is interested in a M/T 1988 S4, I saw this on Car Gurus a couple of days ago: 1988 Porsche 928 S4 Hatchback (Port Republic, MD) Hopes this works out for someone (and removes temptation from me). Good luck...

From Rob Edwards (based on VIN):
1988 5-speed
C02 - 49 state US market
M28.41 - engine serial # range 81J 00001 >05000
G28.13 - transmission serial # range G 2813 1J 00001>10000 (no LSD)

I158 - Blaupunkt radio Reno SQR46 - 87-89
M418 - Protective side mouldings
M481 - 5 speed manual transmission
M494 - Additional amplifier (Blaupunkt Quadro BQA 80)
M650 - Sunroof

Update: Upon further investigation, it seems that this one was previously owned by @jerryb: 1988 Porsche 928 S4 Metallic Silver 5 speed with Burgundy interior
