Thanks Nate! I do know this 928 as I'm selling it for a client. It's really a nice running and driving car, however cosmetically challenged by paint and interior.
Cool thing is it's real 'virgin Euro' with most everything people look for in an early 928. And it's Minerva Blue, which is easy to love. Plus it has LSD!
This could be a great entry-level early 928 for the right person. Drive and enjoy it for what it is, and restore it as you go.

That car is $27,000 away from being a $XX,000 car.

Wow, this is a lot of car for the money! A steal for any entry level for the early year. Especially with that great maintenance history. That’s a wonderful original driver right there. I imagine the front seats are re- covered or not original?
Too bad I am car poor right now..

He!! Yes! And in 10 years, it's worth $150-200k.

Hope someone brings it to the US.

I've been following @islaTurbine progress on my old 78 and it has given me the itch again.
Anybody have any thoughts or knowledge of this one?

I know it used to be John's from AIC in Quarryville and he tends to sell quality.

I don't recall seeing this one posted before, 1979, VIN: 9289201740 sold for $4,290 @ RM Auctions last year:

I like your modified 'Jim Bailey' because you're right. We really don't know what a car like this would be worth ($XX,000) after putting that kind of money into it.
There just aren't any comparables for restored early 928s.

The front seats are oringal-type replacements. Car came in with ghastly aftermarket Recaros.
Figured it was better to have good cores in there, and the Recaros were terribly uncomfortable.

This is the closest I’ll ever get to being called inspirational.

I got some more pictures of this car. IF I were 10 years younger and had a bit of garage space I'd be actively investigating this car! White leather interior looked very good in the pix, and the seller says it runs and drives good.

If I was a bettin' man, I would bet that there's an interesting story here...

I think the $7k difference between the dealership's price on their website and the CL ad would bolster that theory..
