Thanks! - I wanted to wait until your auction was over before posting mine on RL. I was surprised at the auction end. I really thought yours would go for more and it appeared to be heading that way. Like linderpat posted, you need the right people in the room at the time. Yours is a really good candidate if someone with the time, tools and knowledge wants to jump in. Or they can take it to specialist and open their wallet. 5 speeds are more in demand so I'm sure the right person will see it & want it.

Slownrusty, everyone has an opinion on what they feel a "good" price is. I don't know what you paid on eBay less than a year ago for it but as the seller, I would have taken the $11k for that car. You set a reserve higher than that which is fine. It's your car. Sell it for whatever you want. But the market spoke. It needs every hose, wire, vacuum line, gasket, belt, dash console, and more....replaced. Not many people are willing to do that. If the pan gasket and TB/WP were complete with some new rubber hoses and plug wires most of the "immediate" needs would have been addressed and then a reserve of $xx+ would be reasonable. Again, my opinion. By the way, when you post on YouTube you can then see all the videos on your channel. The YouTube video from 8 months ago when you took delivery of the car showing all the broken parts and things that needed to be replaced and have not been touched (for 8months) didn't help.

Just a heads-up: Your answer to the question regarding the axial play measurement may turn off more informed buyers. Granted, the question wasn't worded correctly (should be "crankshaft axial play"), but we know where they were going with it. Your shop should give you an actual measured number. That's what I would be looking for in your answer.

I paid $17.5k for the car, I was willing to sell it for $14k-$15k. I think that is an extremely fair price, currently on eBay and BaT there are zero 5-speed S4 cars for sale. A quick check on Autotrader reveals only two ( yes 2!) S4 Manuals the cheaper being $21k the second is $40k. So sure my car needs "catch-up" maintenance but it is bone stock, mechanically runs very well, all accessories work, never been messed with (i.e zero dodgy wiring or shoddy mechanics working on it) but the value is that third pedal. Having driven a grip of automatic 928s, the manual cars (especially the 32V cars) are in league by themselves.
In talking with the previous owner he paid $6k for the repaint and then $3.5k in receipts for work that I have, so I do not agree with your $11k being a fair price. If this car was sitting in your garage and someone offered you $11k, you would have a very different and possibly quite strong opinion. Yes I could have taken down the YouTube video when I bought the car earlier this year, but I have nothing to hide (zero agendas) and as you can tell from my YouTube channel, I know my stuff, I've been dong this for a long time and I enjoy helping my fellow buddies.

I just looked at my calendar and it is not April 1, 2009, so that eliminates this Miami car as either an April fool's joke or someone in south Florida needing cash because of the recession. I asked myself two questions about this listing: is the price a typo? Do I need a bigger garage? If the answer to the first question is "no" then the answer to the second question is "YES". I can see the BaT listing for spring 2020 in my head now "seller acquired the car 6 months ago in Florida and added 500 miles. Recent work includes (long list goes here)......". Then sells for 2X plus.

139k 1982 5-speed on copart
https://www.copart.com/lot/48904149
No affiliation.
I didn't see this discussed anywhere, so hopefully this isn't a repost. Looks like a decent car, off-site from copart's auction house. No damage noted other than wear and tear.
