It was a paint to sample and interior to sample special order car that was originally German delivered. It was a graphite metallic color but is now black primer. It has been painted several times with some replacement panels. It has No structural damage. It will need a complete strip down and refinish. Probably looking for around $7000.
I will start a new thread but I think I will be parting this one out. It needs a bunch of work and I have too many other projects that need my attention. I have the motor and most of the interior out. If anyone is needing a good running twin dizzy or a full leather cancan red interior let me know. I will post prices along with pics in the new thread.

That has to be one of the worst ads ever. He is using stock pictures of a Euro too. and I love the interior shot through a rolled up window - of a tip Boxster!

That has to be the strangest conglomeration I've ever seen. Something like a pepperoni, anchovy and sour patch kids pizza.

Default '85 $4,000 in Michigan, 185k Interesting engine replacement

Obviously needs lots of work at $4,000.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-Porsch...wAAOSw4pFc5zzr
The engine was replaced at 125k miles for $23,000, along with a new alternator and alternator belt.
But what I found most interesting was that the reason for engine replacement noted on the receipt was "engine case cracked at alternator support."
When under a 928, I've often looked up at the alternator and wondered what might happen if you hit that perfect pothole without the belly pan on....

Prussian blue is a great color! It shifts considerably in different lighting conditions. I have an 85 in Prussian blue with a CanCan red interior...

Bought on a whim, and I have not done much to it... (Needs a torque tube installed and I have one with Constantine's super bearings installed & ready to go in) Not actively for sale, but PM me your phone number if you just gotta have it... 117k miles --- $15k --- Rogerbox yuck! --- Nice Michelin Sport Pilots --- never checked flex plate but previous owner said it was good (if that does not scare you nothing will) --- repainted -- a few dings and nicks -- shrunken leather on dash and A pillars ... Comes with lift bars so you can bust yer *** putting the TT in (I've got a lift and I'm too lazy or doing other things to do it). Non-original stereo or wheels, I've never driven it because the TT is so loud. Wife loved the colors but she is digging the 911 Turbo sooo much that she is now as ambivalent as I am toward it. Looks pretty though just sitting there... Not driven in snow/salt, it is not crusty, so thats good!

Wish it could tell its sordid stories if decadence and debauchery from the 80's... Has some repaired dents in the passenger roof where she? was pounding on the roof, I call them F U dents --- (probably a hot, manic depressive stripper type on a boatload of coke...

Stacks of receipts from previous owners, but not organized yet...

Located in the far north of Michigan, so it will be a pain in the *** to come and get... Worse yet, I'm not a motivated seller... You have to want this color combination to make it worthwhile ...

Do I win the worst ad ever award?

You forgot to mention that you "know what you have".

And actually it was pictures of your car that made me fall in love with Prussian blue and decide I need to paint mine in that color.

NelaK,

I'm glad that you and Ed appreciate my somewhat obscure humor and, the color of this car. I just look at it and chuckle at how blatant and beautiful it is... To me it is not so much a car as a piece of rollable art...

Post pictures of your car when it is finished and hopefully our paths will cross at some point down the road.

Enjoy!

Some day in the distant future once my car is complete my plan is to do a tour of North America in it so who knows. Maybe!
