Hi Pat,
I figured the car should bring about $60k with all the work done to it. Big but..., not many would even be seriously interested in the beast so I decided on a rock bottom price.
Maybe you need a new wife. Hee, hee.
Where have you been? C'mon over for some beer, or moonshine.

MOONSHINE???!!! Now we're talking😁... if I drink enough of it, I can probably drunkardly imagine that machine in my garage. Hahaha

Heck, I coming over for some Ott Moonshine to get my liquid courage into high gear😁

Wow. I've read and heard a lot about you and your car Louie. So what's next for you after you sell this animal on?

Engine does not use oil. There are no cats. Do not expect this to be happy as a daily driver in traffic. While the engine will be fairly smooth in a 20 mph school zone, it would rather be opened up a bit. This is a rather special 928 and there are many mods other than the 6.5L motor. It should go to a special new owner who appreciates fine machinery and will care for it accordingly. The price is $45k.

Here is a list of particulars. Pictures follow.

1990 Porsche 928 GT
Engine size increase (bore & stroke) from 5.0L to 6.5 L. Built by Devek.
  • Devek B1 camshafts.
  • 104mm bore, 3.75” stroke.
  • 39mm intake valves. Headwork by Devek.
  • Compression ratio 10.5:1
  • Oil control work by Ott's Performance includes:
  1. Crank scrapers to strip oil from the rotating crank and shield oil from being fed up the oil drainback holes from the head.
  2. Oil control screen under the crank to keep oil from hitting the pan and bouncing back into the crank.
  3. reworked oil pickup and sump cover inside the sump to keep oil from splashing in the sump.
  4. Re-worked breather system to separate oil from blowby gases and vent blowby to atmosphere and return oil to the sump.
  5. 3/8" oil sump spacer to lower oil away from the crank. This required a smaller, IMI, gear driven starter. Recently replaced.
  • Custom individual throttle intake system designed and built by Ott’s Performance. Uses 50mm TWM Induction components.
  • DTA P8Pro engine control computer installed and tuned by Ott’s Performance. Sequential injection. Wasted spark ignition. No distributors.
  • J&S Safeguard vampire individual cylinder knock control. www.jandssafeguard.com/VampirePage/
  • Bosch 044 fuel pump fed by relay direct from battery.
  • 200 proof ethanol injection at WOT.
  • 591 SAE corrected rear wheel hp and 510 lb ft rear wheel torque (with alcohol).
  • Devek L2 exhaust headers. Ceramic coated.
  • Stainless steel dual 3” dia. X crossover exhaust designed and built by Ott’s Performance.
  • Oil cooler moved to the rear with auxiliary cooling fan.
  • Wider rear fenders designed and built by Ott’s Performance.
  • Functional air scoop in the left rear fender to feed cool air to the engine oil cooler.
  • Transmission oil cooler built and installed by Ott’s Performance.
  • Transmission cooler air fed by scoop inside the rear of the right rear fender. Trans cooler outlet air exits from vents in the rear bumper cover.
  • Accusump in rear bumper.
  • On board car computer (Windows XP OS) using custom software created by Ott’s Performance to display engine and transmission temperatures, pressures, 8 cyl exhaust gas temperature, and to control oil cooling fan and trans cooling pump.
  • Suspension features Hypercoil springs, 600 front, 450 rear. Koni external adjustable shocks. Devek adjustable front sway bar. Ott’s Performance rear sway bar links.
  • Wheels are 10” wide front, 12” wide rear x 17”dia. Tires are 245/45 R17 front, 315/35/ R17 rear. 335 tires fit well on the rear if you want. Centers are Kinesis. Right rear rim has curb rash. Rubber is about ½ gone in front and rear. The rear tires are track tires so didn't have deep tread when new. Tire wear is even across the tread.
  • 928 GP White paint with blue tint by Ty Tibbets in The Dalles, Oregon. Paint is in excellent condition and has "Clear Bra" covering to eliminate chips and scratches.
  • Headlights are H4 with bright white LED from Woodypecker.
  • Rear seat delete. Roll bar. Many other modifications. Valentine V1 radar detector and laser jammer built in. Everything works. Handling is outstanding.

Storage underneath in spare wheel space and rear seat buckets

Stock radio is behind the display which pivots forward for access

About 128K miles. Idles nicely at 1000 rpm

I think it is a 930 steering wheel from Dave Roberts. Much work to get it to fit, turn signals to work, and airbag alarm happy.

    Nice curves

    Locking fuel cap

Blue tint in the clear coat gives a unique effect.

Curvature line blends perfectly from the fender to the rear bumper

    In the rain at Thunderhill

The stainless steel lines spray 100% ethanol into the intake air horns at WOT.

Broad torque curve keeping good torque to the upper limit. The RPM cutoff is a soft cutoff at 6600 or it would go higher.
Hey Louie, best of luck with the sale as it is worth every penny and then some. Sorry I wasn’t able to make the deal work out.

DR You saw my Horizon blue 91 back in 2011 when I first came to Sharks in the Mountain. Of course it was the one that had the broken Torque Tube and we put back on a trailer to get her home. But I love the Horizon Blue color.

Hi,
After I sell the GT, whom I call Grumpy, I still have a 60K miles '91GT which drives very nice. It has the rear interior to fix. Front seats forward is good. It'll need a paint job too. Then I have an airplane to build and a Corvair engine for it to assemble. The fun never ends.

Louie, Awesome!

At another end of the spectrum is the RM auction 4231 mile 1995 GTS.

Anyone care to guess what number the hammer is going down on for this specimen?

Anyone else catching the mis-alignment on the hood and uneven seams?

Missing jump post cover? Not in this photo, but upside down air filter?

Awesome great looking car...

Louie,

It is an interesting spectrum here with the top of both rationales popping up at the same time...

Rarified air on the "For Sale" thread...

Like the Yin and yang, these two are black and white... Methinks it is no coincidence...

There are no coincidences. All part of a plan.
That is a very nice GTS. I didn't see if it was 5 spd or auto.
