I was commenting why the seller has not done 1 comment nor answered one question for 6 days since the start of the auction. Sounds like someone (not a dealer by the way) may had already received an offer outside the auction for a specific amount if it doesn't make reserve and probably satisfied with the number offered.

Not sure why someone would put it up for auction and not participate in it. It is not ebay, you know...

Interesting info ^, thanks for sharing. My gut has been telling me this one will never hit the reserve, and will show back up later on with the seats, steering wheel, and stereo "fixed"....and probably not by the same seller.

Just a thought,

Dave

Exactly my point.
$33,250 with 1 hr 45 min left in the auction for an under 30k miles GTS. Talk about sabotaging your own auction.
Thanks

Yep, now and in the future. That GTS will forever be known as the super nice GTS with the Wonky Seats, it's branded for life, fixed or not, and will always carry a "deduct" going forward.

Cheers,

Dave

Interesting Hoi. Disappointing that BaT would allow a flag on that type of comment.

You probably are right. I will say though that I have no problem with the seller's reason for doing so. It was his car and he wanted it the way he wanted it and never intended to sell it. I wonder how much the reserve setters at BaT actually consider these types of modification on a GTS with regards to value reduction. This car in stock form at only 26K miles should be pushing the 90K mark.

"Wonky Seats" will be part of the provenance in this community. Agree with non-participation by the seller killed it. Geez, I might even bid on it but I'm sure this car will not make reserve.

Last 2 GTS that didn't meet reserves hit $40s.

This car's reserve is probably $50-55k.

Still, put $15k in the seats/wheels and some mechanical refresh, you may have an $75-85k car.

Risky and probably not worth it.

Hi Nate,
I agree about the seat mods also, I have about as whacked of a back around, and I might have done the same thing if that is what it took to make it comfortable for me to drive it. Wish he hadn't tossed the originals, I know for a fact I wouldn't have made that mistake. I'm like a hoarder about removed stock parts, including the boxes,

To you and me, fixing those seats is just another little fun challenge and we would enjoy fixing it.

Happy Humpity Day,

Dave

Hey Linderpat, I thought I took pretty good pics . What pics are not to your liking ? What pics should I put on there? Why would be interesting if it ran good ? I did a lot of work on it .
