You know I have always found IB/Rennlist to be very fair in these situations. IMHO it had to take a lot of "misbehaving" to get a thread like that deleted. I would bet IF we knew all the details it might feel different, I have been privy to such information in the past when situations like this have happened and I found Rennlist to be very patient and fair...but rules are rules..and if someone is repeatedly breaking such rules...the hammer will come down eventually!

BTW, I am in no way implying knowledge of this current event, I have none, but I have seen it here over and over....and each time there was a cry to go to another forum...and then it never happens...we are stuck here with no way out...just like the Time Share episodes on South Park!!

I would suggest moving on as it has been in this thread, I haven't seen anything that would bother/upset anyone, even another Vendor.

Now, who has already tracked down, or attempted to find, replacement seats/steering wheel/stereo for that silver GTS..... just in case. :-)

HAPPY FRIDAY, let's get back to "928s for Sale" fun and not worry about the other stuff.

Dave

I signed up today, just to get a flavor. I agree that being where the depth of knowledge is really convenient here on RL. Being able to append new information to threads that are almost 20 years old is very useful. Moving to a new site would be not as rewarding if we all weren't over there. That being, said, censorship is bs in any form, especially if you pay money to be a member here. And I don't care how "cheap" it is for a year membership. That's irrelevant. Not sure about anyone else, but my mommy and daddy don't give me an allowance anymore. I work everyday to earn a living and when I decide to give some of that earning to a site like this there is a certain value I expect in return. To be honest if I never paid for a membership and remained just a "user" my RL experience would not have been any different in the past 2.5 years. I knew this before paying for it. But I did so because I wanted to support a site that I gleaned so much knowledge from not because I wanted the ability to post in the "member-to-member" classified section (who looks at that page anyways?).

I don't think they will take down this thread, but if they do, I won't renew my membership and would have zero qualms about going to the other site.

It will keep company in my garage with a '97 Glacier White Boxster, '99.5 Audi A4 Avant 2.8 5 speed Sport & '16 Ford GT350 (original owner of all 3).

Looking forward to learning a lot here as the work progresses. Special shout out to @GT6ixer and @HLee96 for your comments on the various cars I've been looking at here and on BaT - they have been very helpful in my quest.
Congrats Gaz! I thought that S4 was really sharp looking. Definitely post your thoughts after you pick it up and had a chance to give it go.

Wow dude, I don't think I have seen that one before..at least not to that degree. I think the PO might have some screws loose and is over compensating in his mind trying to tighten them up!

Thanks for sharing...I think!

Happy Saturday,

Dave

This comes up from time to time. If it comes to that, I vote for 928oc.org. I can't remember the last time I was at reutterw, but the core of experience is present at OC and they have the registry.

I am a sucker for Garnet Red cars. This looks like a decent 85 even with a cracked dash and no 14 pin cover: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-Porsch...gAAOSwzZFbbFVb

Not my favorite interior color, but that may be the nicest conditioned interiors of that color I can remember seeing, dash crack notwithstanding. The rest of the car looks really good as well. I like it!

Agree on Garnet red, also Champagne with chocolate interior, I'm sure that is not the correct Porsche name. This appears to be a clean example with some care given to it. I wonder why he isn't keeping it.

There appears to be some creative routing going on with the ignition wires. No real harm, but Stan would not approve.
