What a shame :-(. I really want a Weissach badly, but this is too much. No amount of money can save this. Nothing to offer as a parts car too. Front looks ok until you get to the inside and the back!

The ad stated the car was submerged by flood waters.

When, in 1989?
What a shame.

I'm trying to keep the price at $20k or less, 1986-88, auto and below 100,000 miles. Most of all I don't want to start off with a project car. I want to enjoy it right off. Project cars come later, ; ).

I concur with Hoi.
That's a solid and well-maintained example.

Something tells me that guy regrets selling it 😉

Wow, you two really know how to pour salt on the wound. :-(.

I can’t complain. I blame myself more than anyone. Maybe except my inlaws’ Honda Civic, but that’s another story.

Anyone selling a nice weissach?

1979 928 5 speed, no sunroof. Dark green exterior with cork interior.

Car is in northern Chicago suburbs, in Chicago / Milwaukee area. I have owned it for 10 years but have driven it minimally over last 6 years, car has 115k miles on it.

Pro's: clean and straight car with no rust, clean engine bay (some seepage of oil and p/s fluid), complete interior with a couple of dashboard cracks and damage to drivers seat upper bolster but have seat covers that match interior. Comes with 85-86 headers and y-pipe (not installed) and momo steering wheel in pics. I have repair records going back to 1996. In my ownership it has received new plug wires, new shocks, brake discs, wheel bearings, rear axle seals, and most of Roger's fuel line kit (one line nearly impossible to get at in engine bay is left to do).

Con's: While car always started and ran strong, I took it to the gas station a few weeks ago for a fill-up and a brief spin and it cut out a couple of times on my way back home...tried starting it the following week prior to winter storage and it wouldn't start (fill up kicked up fuel tank sediment??), so technically not running at the moment. Car has Maaco paint job from prior owner with bubbling along windows and hatch lid, some mismatched color on rear panel so will need a repaint at some point. Exhaust system will need to be replaced. A/C compressor and condenser not with car.

I haven't put up any listings on other sites yet as wanted to try here first...no idea on value so please make me an honest offer (no opportunistic lowballing please) or offer feedback on potential pricing for listing elsewhere, want it to go to a good home. Any questions please ask away.

Don't know if anyone remembers seeing this car listed last December but I just bought it today. Should be home later this week. Sale price of $3200. Wish me luck!

My '79 went under, it didn't look like that afterward!
