This is an interesting play. I fear it may sit there a bit. Tires are new, all fluids, all seals. Basically, apart from the electronics, which needed some cleaning, its a new car.
But it can't sit. These can't sit. That's why I am happier with the prospects on my GT. High miles, and I'll make it a new car as well, but we will all be able to drive that kind of car.

Why is the sunroof open? And why does the COA have black leather listed?

I also emailed the owner of the 93 GTS yesterday morning at 5:30 and have not heard back. Also the Hemmings ad for the 86.5 claims this is one of under 25 5 speed manuals, how accurate is this?

The Hemmings car may be one of 25 with that exact color combo and options list with a 5 speed, otherwise the claim is total BS. Nonetheless, since my 86.5 five speed with a limited slip diff and special order Pearl White/Blue interior and Dunkelblau exterior has comparable mileage and is arguably rare, I hope he gets every penny.

Hmm, I thought this one just changed hands recently? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1978-Porsche-928/123016808454?hash=item1ca45f8806:g:y7QAAOSwRE5aZrLX&vxp=mtr.
The description is awful - horrible spelling, and very misleading. That is hardly an "unmolested" and "absolutely original" car. The air intake tubes are not early style, aftermarket muffler, pipes; some wonky after market alarm system wired in, and who knows what else. All of it reversible of course, but I just don't like the looseness with the description. Nice looking car, and maybe priced right. We'll see.

Surely those can't possibly be factory original.
I wonder if those are painted on, or stuck on...

I thought it was kind of strange as well. Not really consistent with the fishing scams you see on Craigslist. He's also now showing the car as having been sold.

No affiliation, just cruising CL. '83 with manual transmission.

Good afternoon Shark fans,
Well; I will probably end up regretting the sale of this car, but wanted to ask the forum your opinions on a sales price for my 1983 928S. Not sure where to begin, but one thing is for sure; this car is an unquestionable survivor. The car lived most of its life in New Jersey where I purchased the car. It was bought new at Paul Miller Porsche in Parsippany NJ and they maintained the car for the majority of its life. I moved to Texas and the car came with me. It lives underneath a factory OEM 928 cover in the garage and is only driven in fair weather (the previous owner also did the same). The only things I have done to this car is: added clear markers, replaced the window switches, replaced the power antenna, added NEW OEM 8" Bosche Headlamps, new shifter, new steering wheel, new tires, and I added a completely unnecessary stereo in the back hatch (I have the original spare tire, tools, air compressor, and luggage cover, and carpet that sits in the back as well).
Here are the highlights:
1. 63,690 original miles
2. 5-Speed Manual Transmission
3. Original Paint (Basalt Black Metallic)
4. Original Interior - Full leather (front seats and console cover were professionally re-dyed by a 928 enthusiast)
5. No leaks, engine runs cool and like a top
6. Car shifts smooth (a little rough when cold, but once it warms up its like butter)
7. NEW OEM GT Sport Steering Wheel (I have original as well)
8. NEW OEM GTS Shift **** (I have original as well)
9. NEW OEM 8" Bosche Headlamps (H4 bulbs) - original lamps and trim rings included
10. NEW Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport Tires (OEM spare tire also included)
11. Water Pump and timing belt were replaced by previous owner
12. The undercarriage has ZERO rust
13. I have all Books, Keys (3), Original Sales Brochure
14. All Tools are included (minus the Phillips screwdriver)
15. OEM Custom Porsche 928 fitted cover (with steel braided cable and lock)
16. Stereo -
1. Alpine CDA-9884 Head-unit,
2. Alpine Components in factory locations (powered by Hyfonics Brutus BRX616.4 (640 watts)
3. 12" NVX Audio Subwoofer (deleted spare tire; powered by Hyfonics Brutus BRX 2016.1D - 2000 Watts)
4. All of this is contained in a custom 3-piece enclosure that I built and covered with faux leather (no rattles, fits interior perfectly, factory carpet is out of the car but included)
The few things that need attention:
1. There is a small rust spot under the rear spoiler (by the power radio antenna). I understand this is common.
2. The Air Conditioning needs a recharge (the compressor, blower, and automatic climate control work perfectly)
3. The brake pressure light is flashing (I have ordered the sensors to replace and this issue will be fixed)
I love this car. My sweet bride on the other hand; not so much. I have a few toys, and now that we are newly married and building a family its time to be a man and thin the heard. I am not desperate to sell the car, and even as I type this I don't want to post it. I still may keep it, just thought I'd see what you guys think would be a good asking price. I just took about 130 pictures of the car, and am probably forgetting some things to tell you. But all that said, your thoughts and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
