928s for Sale

Another dealer sold 928 on BaT. 5-speed Meteor Gray metallic over tan. Listed as a '86, but actually an '86.5. Dealer obviously doesn't realize that. This one is close to me. If anyone is interested in having me look at it shoot me a PM.

Better off getting 16” due to very few brands make the correct speed rated 15”, but Pirelli does have the tire available. May need ball joints (hard to see them)
fuel lines, PS window switch and the front grill, but I truly love the color combo. Guess I’m a sucker for OB cars.

Agree 100%. Big items like AC, wp/tb are addressed with an interior that takes minimal work to finish, if any. Anything under $8-10k and someone has a driver deal for sure! Looks like a enthusiast-dealer is onto it already!
Nice car to keep an eye on, Some of the early cars I watched recently Sold at the high end of the price scale. Needs a whole set of tires, all mismatched.

Apparently I was wrong about it being original paint, but it looked quite nice, with some minor blemishes with age. The car steel needs some work and attention to some missing parts like the wiper motor cover, it was missing the brake ducts when I had it (can’t tell if they are there). I bought new ones that arrived after I sold it (still have them tho). It should have a top end refresh and fuel lines and probably new wires, hoses, etc. I would also consider replacing the dash. But if the price is right, this would be a great car to enjoy. The original owner spent a ton on maintenance over the years but wasn’t much for cosmetics or cleaning. I still remember the $hit my son and I vacuumed out of this car: $20 in small change, golf tees, a hair comb from the 80s. It was hilarious. The transmission shifted very well and everything else worked if I recall, except for maybe the cruise control.
The best part part of the whole thing is that this got my son interested in cars (and 928s) and engineering. He is planning on studying Mech Engr in college.

Lot's of debate on that one, but generally OB is used to refer to the early body style cars (pre-928S). Model year definition can range from '78 to '81. Some consider only the '78 and '79 an OB. Some just the '78s. OB itself means "Old Bugger" or "Original Body".
