IIRC, it was originally sold in Texas ~1 year ago for $5k and I just missed purchasing it before the current owner buying it. Love that rosewood metallic paint, and that's why I remember this car well. Didn't this car went through ebay ~2 months ago for around $10k?

I'll be following this very closely. Same condition as my '89 (better year :-) ), but mine has only 21k miles, black interior, and only 1 owner (before me). Hopefully, people will break the bank for this one!

And I didn’t indicate otherwise.
GT
One more time: the OE ‘short’ lever is shorter by around 1/2” inch. You cannot tell 1/2” from a picture taken 10 feet away. Besides, it will look taller or shorter by more than 1/2” depending upon which gear is selected. If it is obviously shorter in a picture then it’s an after-market lever.

Dave, can you enlighten me to what you see in the engine bay that’s incorrect? Vacuum lines routing, harness, etc? Thanks. Hoi
This is another good example. But, it is also an example of why there are few folks that should touch a 928 with a wrench. Winning bidder will need to have the recent intake service redone. There are at least three things obviously-wrong with the recent work. And if there are three things wrong in a picture then you gotta know there’s more stuff you’ll find once you dig in.

Then, somebody stole the **** out of your ‘91.
Most of the old threads are useless now, due to the Photobucket Holocaust. And IB seems to have rescued only 911 pictures from Photobucket.
Here’s the 1/2”

WHY CAN"T I REPLY WITH A QUOTE? It doesn't work for me anymore no matter how I try to finagle it (GRRRR - I can't get emojis either - HATE IB, always fixing something that is not broken)
Rant off -
Dave C - curious to know what the 3 things are in that 87 S4 that you see in the engine bay? I am not as familiar with the S4 motors.

Broken Air Box Standoff(s)
Vacuum line to front fuel pressure dampener mis-routed and ...
... there is no apparent vacuum line to the tank vent diaphragm.
Thus, my suspicion is that the line that should go to the tank vent / fuel vapor diaphragm is connected to the dampener. Who knows where the line to the tank vent went. I only spent a minute looking at the pictures. I could probably find more stuff. No point though as...
This is prima facie evidence of someone working on a 928 that a) didn't know what they were doing and b) hasn't developed the skill or processes for putting something back together they way they found it.
I've fixed mis-routed vacuum lines so many times now, that my SOP, rather than trying to re-route in-place, is to R&R the intake. It takes 4-ish hours to R&R the intake and correct all the lines or it can take just as long to try to futz with hemostats and mirrors while lying on top of the intake. And if the air pump divertor line is upgephuked you have to at least loosen the intake anyway.
The seller noted that he ordered many other parts and delivered them to the shop. But, that parts list isn't evident. At this point a comprehensive parts list would give you an idea of what doesn't need to be ordered. But, of course, the intake needs to come off again anyway.
Last, the labor charge for R&Ring the cam covers is a bit inadequate unless both lift loops and the air pump were/are missing. I usually find one or all three missing on 928s with 'prior' cam cover R&R.
Have to wonder about the breather and cap o-rings. And of course, the Hall Sensor should have been replaced too. Bet it wasn't. I also do the check valves when I do cam covers.
