I noticed no one brought up that it needs the intake removed again. Hope someone mentions it to the new owner.
You mean on BaT? Or here? I did try, a bit, when I suggested the seller post the invoice.

Yes. As of about 2 hours ago, IB has decided once again to force feed us a new baseline of code with no option to revert to the former skin. From what I can see so far, if you are not logged in, common non-curse words (such as "****") are redacted and the user is assaulted with floating window frames etc.
Dave C - curious to know what the 3 things are in that 87 S4 that you see in the engine bay? I am not as familiar with the S4 motors.
K&N Air Filter
Broken Air Box Standoff(s)
Vacuum line to front fuel pressure dampener mis-routed and ...
... there is no apparent vacuum line to the tank vent diaphragm.
Thus, my suspicion is that the line that should go to the tank vent / fuel vapor diaphragm is connected to the dampener. Who knows where the line to the tank vent went. I only spent a minute looking at the pictures. I could probably find more stuff. No point though as...
This is prima facie evidence of someone working on a 928 that a) didn't know what they were doing and b) hasn't developed the skill or processes for putting something back together they way they found it.
I've fixed mis-routed vacuum lines so many times now, that my SOP, rather than trying to re-route in-place, is to R&R the intake. It takes 4-ish hours to R&R the intake and correct all the lines or it can take just as long to try to futz with hemostats and mirrors while lying on top of the intake. And if the air pump divertor line is upgephuked you have to at least loosen the intake anyway.

Yeah. Injectors? MAS rebuild? Flappy valve? Etc.
The seller noted that he ordered many other parts and delivered them to the shop. But, that parts list isn't evident. At this point a comprehensive parts list would give you an idea of what doesn't need to be ordered. But, of course, the intake needs to come off again anyway.
Last, the labor charge for R&Ring the cam covers is a bit inadequate unless both lift loops and the air pump were/are missing. I usually find one or all three missing on 928s with 'prior' cam cover R&R.
Have to wonder about the breather and cap o-rings. And of course, the Hall Sensor should have been replaced too. Bet it wasn't. I also do the check valves when I do cam covers.
If anyone had their light blue OB 928 stolen in California, it is listed right here for sale in Tijuana! It still has the California license plate on it. They go as far saying the engine and transmission have already been "removed" but the car is available. Too funny!!!
If any of you are in law enforcement, could you run this California plate and see if it comes back stolen?
