Default Leeroy Hard Down

A new fuel pump and installation at the famous precision motorwerks in OC, xxx dollars.

A very good used pressure plate from 928 intl and very good used TOB to replace another seized one - xxx dollars.

Still not having transportation because one of the most rare pieces on the car broke? Priceless.

For everything else, there's mastercard. But not for parts that basically don't exist.

Lol. Well, this has never happened to me before, and the car was not raced. Just driven back and forth to work.

As GB says - all parts eventually break.

The worn condition of the drive shaft on the old very brown 1980 was what made me replace it BEFORE putting in the rebuilt GB gearbox......I knew what it might look like if I did not. This stuff just wears over time no matter how well it was designed and made....

I have a few G28-03...I know two have good 5th gear.....one is unknown & an open diff....I was told it worked fine but had crunchy synchros when I bought the car for parts..... If you want-need it as a core to scavenge from.....I'll sell it super cheap....

I have a matched main shaft and ring gear from a '79(?) box, if it will fit.

BC-

What year is Leeroy? IIRC the replacement engine was from an '80, but can't remember the MY of the car itself. What's the VIN?

I see your point. The Clutch Failure(s) have been from frozen TOBs, which I am not seeing a direct correlation to, but you are using the word "harmonics" which can infer a wide range of issues.

Either way, it was very very old, and is not very very broken.
