Leeroy was relatively intact at Sharktoberfest. But he needs a new transmission, and it appeared that center console had been dissembled. Also appears to have been left with the windows open. There's been some interior deterioration since I had him.
I can't speak for what's under the hood, I didn't pop it and look.

Windows were not left open. It just say at Gregs, in the sun, for over.... maybe 2 years. Finally had to move it.
Input shaft on transmission snapped. 2xx,000 miles will do that.
Maybe its a caustic part of my personality to say this, but during the time I "owned" this car (two separate times, and you and alot of sitting are sandwiched between) - I was *grateful* to have it as I was either unwilling or honestly unable to get a workable car otherwise. Every time that car started in the morning, I genuflected in admiration and gratefulness.
It showed in how I treated it as well: I replaced the front a-arm bushings, I replaced the shocks with bilsteins from my own parts stash,( with better springs as I recall), and I replaced many items in the engine bay as well as resealed where appropriate. Clutches and Throw out bearings were a favorite snack for Leeroy for some reason, and the final deathnell was the transmission.
I am grateful for Mark's Phone call in 2009 offering the car for my usage/ownership that first time. Transportation wise, it saved my ***.
One final comment and I will close the thread (I sure hope I can, because the conversation I started originally is done) - Take a second to *get* what happens when Mark Anderson (And in the case of Leeroy "The unknown powers that be") or Greg Brown help people (either publicly or privately) - it far surpasses the concern over the individual car and whether it is preserved or not (which it will not be) - its about the people.
I have major thoughts about spending time around other platforms with less frustrating... mechanical realities or more modern technology - but I always question it based not on the cars but the people I have known for for up to 16 years.
