No, it wasn't a trick question. Sorry. I was just asking if anyone saw anything amiss; I did not.

Interest is still high. We've been waiting for the sample to come back. I just got these pics last night.

Shawn,

All looks 'right' to me. I agree - a glowing 928 is probably more than I would want!

...and they even got the "2" in 928 correct (not an upside down "5")!

Well, it has the S4 wing instead of the older lip spoiler.

Seriously, it looks good. Any time frame on complete watches being available?

I like it, and I've got # 61 of the original run. With this watch I can put my Submariner back in the winder, and wear this one as my everyday watch.

Cheap used donor watch on hand ready to roll.

Not sure exactly why, but there are a slew of these for sale in the Philippines on ebay... that's where this one came from and looks great!

So Kurt you plan on customizing the Seiko you bought with the new 928 dial face yourself correct?

You'll have to pull the stem, remove the movement, take off the hands, remove the original dial face, replace the dial face with new, put the hands back on, put the movement back in the case and reinstall the stem.

Have you ever done this?

No, never done more than replace batteries or remove links, but yes… that is the plan! I never worked on a 928 (or really any car) either before working on mine.

I think you have most of the steps down. I've watched a couple YouTube videos on the process... not rocket science. Worst case I screw up an old used watch.
