You might want to get the extinguisher mess cleaned up soon. If you've ever inhaled that stuff, it's quite irritating. Not sure what it will do to the interior if left there for a while.

Damn Randy, very sorry to hear about this. Looks like you did save it though.

Ugh! Really really sorry this happened. Hopefully the cause will be readily diagnosed and an easy fix. Same too with the paint and cosmetics.

That gives me the screamin' heebie jeebies. Now I have to get a fire extinguisher before I start my car. And I was doing so well with my Advance Autoparts addiction... three days sober...crap.
Good save, man. Sucks.

Randy:
Good job getting it out so quickly! You risked far worse (see below from another fuel fire locally - no extinguisher was nearby). The car pictured below is back on the streets, although it required extensive work.

Wow look like it could have been a lot worst if you had not been quick minded, great save Randy! With that said, seeing those fuel PSI gauges left on for daily diving has alway made me cringe.

Very quick thinking and a nice save which could have been very very bad.
This makes we very leery of my gauge.
Boat engine compartments have blower vents that clear the compartment
