Followed Dwayne's excellent walkthrough for the reinstall. Tank is up, all hoses connected with new Porsche hose clamps, de-rusted / repainted / re-cushioned cradle is mounted with 3 of 4 bolts, the hole for the fourth currently getting some rust-preventer in it. All new Porshce mounting hardware where it was no longer NLA.
FP electrical lines w/ new terminals and dust caps, along with the hard/soft line going to the FP are currently fed through the cradle and waiting for the FP to be hooked up.
Really nice to have the floor space back from where the tank was sitting. 3 more days home from work, and hopefully I get this buttoned up.
Bought a new shortblock to replace the original block which is corroded and bore damaged. £600 all in.....just need to spend equivale ton new gaskets etc

Great work Ryan. It is nice to work through a vehicle and raise the level of its weakest parts.

Removed the Super Charger and all last fall, finally got her back to stock config, still more to go but she started right up and idled 9pm Saturday night, ran it up to temp, no leaks (so far and is still on the jack stands.
...nothing today...
but the other night, a neighbor confirmed that my '85 auto chirps the 9" rears when it shifts to 2'nd.

Went to the garage to take out the trash...Couldn't resist pulling the rear hatch release to see if it's still working...it did. So I tried it one more time. The novelty will wear off eventually, right?..maybe not.

Maybe not. I generally find any excuse possible to use mine, and it's worked fine since I got the car.
I'm working on installing the Euro Fog/Driving lights that I got from OTR 18Wheeler (Farris). Turned into a bit more of a project than I was expecting.
Wiring is all there (bit of a mess due to added side marker lights). When it was federalized, they put the US bumper lights in. Don't know what a "real" US setup looks like, but they riveted a bracket in that the trim screwed to (Euro lights have that screw go into a bracket on the Fog light itself). Had to take out 8 rivets in fairly tight quarters, then bolt the turn signal bracket back in. It was riveted in along with the trim bracket.
Installed a new amplifier today, a Pioneer GM-D9605.
I got this one for it is set to drive a 2 ohm subwoofer, and that is what I have.
Add: just finished the install with a lot of new wiring, and...Wow
Making some fine adjustments with the gain control for each channel, and the low frequency slope adjustment it makes a high end old Alpine radiohead sound fantastic.
Knew I made the right choice.

WOW, I know your green car is a euro, and the parts are euro,...but they weren't easy to remove, if that helps...
Washed and waxed, vacuum out the interior, disconnected the battery. Covered the ole girl up. Going back to the oil patch for a month, flying to Florida tonight, then off to a production platform in the Gulf. Be back 1st week in July just in time to head to Spokane, for Parade.
