The Mosconi factory rep(nice guy) came by after I called him and we soent about 4 or 5 hours dialing it in. Now the only thing I hate about my baby in that stupid CLOCK!!. I complained so long and hard about it that this mysteriously came to my door yesterday... I think I know who sent it because it had a German postmark but he isn't sating and I won't tell he has them.

My guy is in Germany he told me these are pretty much unobtainium. This one is new old stock he got from a Porsche dealer over there somewhere Just to shut me up about the UGLY clock. I hope
there is a thread about how to install this in an 88 s4
Thanks
Rodger

Adjusted the washer nozzles on the hood, hey don't laugh...it was a job and a half...lol. ln and out of the car a couple dozen times, then in and out of the car a couple more dozen times...before I finally got it satisfactory.
Had a bit of a panic attack when I looked at the hood and saw hundreds of white spots, thought they were all stones chips at first and about got physically sick. But after further review...it was determined that they were small white specks of paint. We had driven under an overpass that they were painting yesterday, while out for a ride, and there must have been an overspray of primer in the air. Washed right off and after that the car got a coat of wax.
Cleaned the ashtray too...starting to smell like old cigars.
Brian.

Removed A/C Condenser that got perforated by Headlight Retractor mechanism. Off this morning to get hole repaired.
Not too bad of a job but as usual had to remove a bunch of other things to get the unit out. Found lots of stuff clogging airflow behind oil cooler and tons of crude behind condenser at bottom of radiator.
I guess I should not be surprised to find this but the surfaces I could see were spotless with no visual hint of the clogging. Hopefully, radiator performance will be improved once I get things back together.
Crude found at bottom of radiator once condenser was out.

Got my original analog clock wired up and working, along with instrument lighting. Also fabricated a mount for it since my console mount points were broken off.

Hey, I used 2 x 48 smd led panels from eBay which were AU$4.50 each. They are self adhesive so I just cleaned the under side of the storage trays and stuck them in place. Wired them to come on with doors/hatch by extending the wiring to pick up harness before it enters the door loom. Red + & Brown/White -

Nice, liking the foot well leds.
I fixed the fuel gauge, ground wire needed to be cut back and Re soldered to the sender.
Checked the rear pinch bolt, have some play between rod and clamp so new bolt or torque required.
If only I knew what length, thread, material and torque is required

I used something like here for my footwell lights. Fits really nicely above and below the under dash storage shelves, and allows daisychaining if you want more light than is provided by a single strip.
