Drove it in ridiculous (at least for so cal ) 40 mph side winds and didn't even get affected by them... all the way to take my SAT.

Today, after a 20 mile drive around town in the rain, when I got home, I washed, and waxed it.
... Yesterday I tore it down to do a 2.5k TB check, and did a little detailing under the hood.

Swapped the intensive washer relay in the '90 so now the washer and wipers shut off after a period of time instead of running constantly when activated. Will probably never use it - but I like everything to work as intended. And moved the accelerator pedal lower mount aftward to change the pedal angle.

And started to get back into the '88 resto with a leather cleaning... That car has to be back on the road by spring.

Tried to start my '89. No start.. hmm..

20 mins later, after swapping each relay 1 at a time, jumping fuel pump, and then checking spark, decided it was either a dead LH (un-rebuilt from 1989) or the 13yo aftermarket alarm had given up.

I plugged in my spare newly rebuilt LH from JDS, and vroom! Except it sounded very rough, so I turned it off after about 10 revolutions. Checked I hadn't undone any exhaust bolts (its on stands and been untouched for weeks).. then remember I didn't put the spark plug back in after checking for spark

It now runs nicely again, so I'll drive it on Thursday just to keep it happy

Now I just need to add the failed LH to the list of 928 stuff to order, so I have a working spare again (although both my 928's have rebuilt LH's in them).

Still cleaning up the front of the engine. Taking apart more than I probably should but this stuff is caked on too thick to put it all back together.

I drove it like a bat outta hell at Watkins Glen. Enjoyed my first two-day track experience with her. 120 in 4th and she still wanted to go more. What an awesome ride.

Yesterday, with the help of Dave K, we started the process of putting the GTS engine back together. New rod bearings, heads redone, stiffer springs, lighter lifters and GT cams. Lots of cleaning. But, it's starting to look like an engine again.

Just buying time until I drop the tranny next week to determine culprit of a rattle emanating from the TC area...

So, I decided to strip and paint 10 lug nuts, outside of the garage to minimize unwanted over spray. Went inside to tend to other stuff. Approximately 10 minutes later a passing cloud rained for no more than 10 seconds.

Will repeat the strip and paint operation again tomorrow.

Just got my OB belly pan all the way from the UK. I noticed my brake pads make my 10 spoke Panamera rims very dusty very quickly.
Like 20 miles and it's dusty quickly.
