Finished S4 intake refresh! Just rolled over 50,000 miles.
New gaskets, knock sensors, CPS, oil fill tower o-ring + 16V paper gasket + Yamabond.
Did a little gasket matching and bellmouth smoothing for good measure.
Only a little PorKen-izing - venturi delete, vapor recovery delete, intake temp switch delete.
Can you believe this made >300 rwhp!

Oil Change, Stripped and painted nuts black
Stripped lug nuts with "Airplane Paint Remover". That stuff is nasty but works. Sprayed nuts with brake cleaner then painted with Caliper black gloss. Look great.

Fixed the squeaking caliper on my front passenger's side. The people who did the brake job didn't screw them in.
These jobs are common place in their shop, I wonder how they missed it. Saved the rotor from being warped.

Started to dig into all the grounds (just going to clean them all, to say I have). Realized I couldn't find my 13mm socket and my garage was a disaster. I have been working out of my truck tool bag, since I left my garage setup in KC.
So, I told the GF I was going to HF to pick up a 13mm socket. A few hours and too many dollars later I have a new socket/ratchet set, plier set, screwdriver set, wrench set, and a pegboard to hang it all from.
Also talked the GF into working on the grounds while I put the garage together, she's a keeper. Though after getting the two in back, the battery terminals, and the two in front of the radiator she decided that was enough garage time for her. I finished the board, took the pic, and came inside myself. We'll tackle the hard ones tomorrow.

Had no low beam on the driver side headlight on the Strosek.
Troubleshot the problem, no power at the light, good power at the CE panel. Ohmed out the wiring from the CE panel to the headlight plug, open!
Raised the car up and looked up into the headlight well. Saw some frayed wires so I got a hand on them and they seperated. Guess what, all three wires, low, high and ground must have been mangeled by the headlight mechanism.
I was able to pull the frayed end out into the engine bay.
Removed the other end and soldered and heat shrunk the wires.
Ensured the wires were not being fouled by the light.
Works great!
Also washed both 928's after the repair.
It was a good day to be a 928!
