Put the hood back on. Did unpleasant things to the (already trashed) paint getting it open again due to misalignment. Got it close enough to open and close reliably. Tomorrow I'm going to try driving it to work. Perhaps foolish.
Put in some injector cleaner.
Need to get into the exhaust leak and get emissions testing done by Nov. (60 day tags ticking...)

Finally added the secondary relay to the A/C compressor and will take the car to be filled and serviced
tomorrow at a shop I trust.
Can't wait for cool air to come out of the vents.
Now my mother won't complain when it gets a little warm inside.
I figured out I need to flare my front fenders a bit to acamodate the Panamera rims.
They rub a little when going over bumps when making a turn.

I've had mine on for about a week and a half and like them a lot except for the fact that they rub my front fenders when turning and going over a bump at the same time.
I have confirmed that my setting motor in my climate control works and will get the HVAC system pressure tested and filled later this week.
I must have it done before shartoberfest, I want to be one of the few people with a working Air conditioning system from an earlier car. It's just extra cool points.... literally.

Mine are 17" and fit great, no rubbing.

Today I changed the GT's fronts from 245/40/18 to 225/40/18 on a 8.5 ET 54 rim.

245/40/18 are too big and will rub.

235/40/18 are tight fit and may rub sometimes (on my 88 S4 currently with Panamera 18 rims).

225/40/18 are about perfect diameter and no rub worries.

Just added Greg Browns work of art fuel line between the rear damper and regulator on the GTS.

I also changed the other fuel lines using Rogers kit.

My suspension in the front is really soft because the shocks are failing. I have a set of bilstiens on standby.
That is what is probably causing a big part of the rubbing. Otherwise they fit well and look great.

Motor Mounts and Oil Pan gasket plus stud kit. Very long day, but well worth it.

All the advice, writeups and expertise on here were invaluable in making it a manageable task.

Special thanks to MrMerlin and Dwayne.

And of course to Roger for the parts.

Not mine, but went to VIR. Only one Shark on the track today but it put out a good vibe amongst a long line of NSXs and Corvettes.

Checked for the dreaded thrust bearing failure finally...

Result? AOK!

No bowing of the flex plate.

Crank endplay was 0.20mm (whew!)

Changed the oil and filter... cut old filter and found nothing but golden juice.

One of my transmission cooler lines started leaking profusely so I took it off and will have my dad find a place to have it rebuilt.
At least I caught it now before I set out for sharktoberfest Saturday and end up with a toasted transmission.
The rears probably aren't far behind and the power steering hose too.
Next are the 30 year old factory fuel lines on my fuel injectors that have yet to leak.
At least I caught them now when I replaced the receiver drier (which now means my A/C rebuild is officially over).
Hope to have it done by Friday. This will make it a challenge to get to school

Gave it a good new home and it will be going back to Germany.
First one who flew out and looked at it, bought it right away.

Made some good progress removing pieces so I can get to the bottom of the mysterious Torque Converter noise. Will be replacing 3 axle boots while she's disassembled. I gotta say taking the entire backend out is a lot easy second time around...

Tomorrow comes out and hopefully I will find a failing rear flex plate(rivets?) or a bearing.
