I got it out!!!!!!!!
Actually it was Friday, but I've been busy with it. It fired right up and drives great. I've been going bananas with the weather around here. I had to park it immediately after bringing it home, and I was climbing the walls waiting for spring.
The seats now work (I went through the switches and cleaned/greased the forward/back mechanism). There were a couple of broken wires in the seat harness that didn't reveal themselves until after I reinstalled them. The seats worked perfectly on the bench, but not in the car. The broken wires were in the section that stays in the car. Oh, well. It's fixed now.
My speedo/odo still doesn't work. I must have missed something when I went through the instrument cluster. So I have to take the pod out again (I have a funny feeling I'm going to get a lot of practice at that.
But it's out and running!!!!!!!

I replaced the felt window guides on the driver's side today.
Sorry about the crappy pics.

Pulled the AC compressor and hoses along with the dryer as the start of an AC system overhaul. Resealed the compressor after a good external cleaning but goofed the shaft seal so had to order another. I'm out of town all next week so it will all keep.

Took her into the garage to get the cracked expansion tank out. Only to find that there was fuel leaking at the back at the fuel pump. Got to fix that first I guess...
Well, now that I got it on the lift, I will tackle some of the other jobs on the never ending list... :-) And the Heater fan, heater resistor... Water hoses...
It will be off the road for a while. So the 2003 RR will have the right to be the long distance runner again for some time.
Not that that is a bad thing is this never ending winter here this year. It has been around freezing for about half a year now...

Right on, ditching the oil filler to air-box hose that had the integrated coolant line running through it. I will vent it into a catch-can for now to see how much oil will accumulate in it during normal driving. Found a crack in the 34-year old rear return hose - it was probably weeping slowly when under pressure - good timing.

I lovingly drove an SE like it was stolen (Owners orders)..and in the process made two Audi's feel _really st00pid_. It returns to it's rest tomorrow, before shipment to the US.
FWIW, runs tons better than it did, and MPG this tank compared to the first tank I drove it on..is much improved. This has sat for a while..much better now.

Had a pleasant 100ml drive with my son to Gympie. Spend the day in the woodwork and gold museums. Lovely to drive a 928 over flowing country roads again.
