Yea, I'm getting the entire car wrapped. Went with a 3M Matte Silver Metallic color.

Very Nice! May I ask what that's costing you?

Sure. Initial cost of $1,700.00. I asked them to also do a porsche badge on each side of the fender so that will cost a bit more but way cheeper than a new paint job. Just wondering how long it will last. Anyway, thought I'd try it.

Yeah I'm thinking about doing the same, like you stated though I'm wondering how long it will hold up myself. I figure I only driver her probably 6 months out of the year, and never in harsh conditions (other then the hot sun) so I'm thinking it should hold up a while. Yes Definitely cheaper then painting. What color is your car now? Wondering If the door jams will somewhat match?

I see your in OH. where are you getting it done? I'm in IN. and am looking for a good place to take it.

(funny thing, I just looked at your profile and we joined here on the exact same day)

This Matte Silver Metallic is about the closest thing to my gold that 3M had. It's a different color but won't be too bad in the door jams and such. Same here, I only drive it when it's nice out and mostly in the summer (7 months or so). So, I don't think it will have to hold up under harsh conditions. I'm getting it done in South Akron Ohio. Place is call Graphic Accents. I'm going to start a new thread on it. Stay tuned.

I did next to nothing on my car today. However, helped El Greco (aka Pete), Patrick (PC85) pull one of Pete's transmissions. All we all could think was how the hell do some people do this by themselves, with no lift, while on their back...

Hard enough to pull it with a lift, jack stand, air gun, etc...

Also reinstalled a Louis Ott rebuilt LH in Pete's other car with Patrick. Hooked up to the Theo Tool (thank you 928 OC!) and so far, so good. Remapped the LH and checked EZK, injectors, ISV, vent and some other goodies...

A few more adjustments, checks and good to go.

UPDATE: They are still working on the transmission; almost done...

FINAL UPDATE: Reassembled right before Midnight.

Checked brake fluid. Checked coolant level. Drove her. Drove her hard. She still pulls and pulls.

Bought rotors off a rennlister to replace the over decade old ones she's got now. Need to plan out a brake caliper rebuild and brake service.

One of them, replaced the radiator with a good spare.

The other one, I got a fair bit completed on my custom intake for my boosted 928.....
