Picked it up from El Greco's shop after every fluid but the PSD was changed (next few days) although it worked today. Started to drive home and it hesitated, dropped. Went back. Took it out again, no issues. Temporarily replaced one corroded taillight socket (still get the annoying warning even though it functions perfectly) until I replace the harness.

Added 1 20 Gallon treatment of Techron. Filled up with 13 gallons of 93. Proceeded to drive the **** out of the car. Probably put on about 100+ miles and opened it up, in my imagination (not), to 120. Pretty stable and smooth. Brakes are fantastic. Need to be cleaned-sqeak due to dust and crap.

Will detail out the car in the afternoon if there is no rain.

Car still needs a bit (they all do) and some odd functioning/non-functioning stuff, but overall it was fantastic.

It's odd-doesn't feel as fast as it actually is. I would find myself on the gas, opening it up and the smooth acceleration to 90 and beyond is deceiving. Where my Subaru Forester Turbo is whining away (it's quick but also has a 4 speed auto so a good basis to compare) the Porsche is just starting to find its horsepower as the RPM runs up.

Good first day.

Put the pod back together after cleaning contacts in hope of better fuel gauge readings. Fixed the damn loose door arrester nuts. No more clicking and rubbing! Tomorrow, it is new front brakes to get rid of the squealing. Maybe later in the week a top off with r-12...

Removed my old worn out hood liner...that was the easy part. Spent hours with adhesive remover and a scrubber getting all the old adhesive off.

I should have taken the hood off, it's so much harder with it on. Had towels draped over the engine to catch everything. Still not done, called it a night to let it dry then will continue tomorrow.

Got my new hood liner from Nicole's place so all is well.

Used a Durametric to clear the faults from the airbag controller, so everything's reporting correctly now on the digital dash (had created those faults by turning on the ignition while the airbags were disconnected during replacement of the dash).

This will be my first post ever. Thanks to all those that came before me I have gleaned enough info to make a move on some 18" Twists with 295/30s on the rear and 235/40s on the front. all is well with no rubbing or ABS issues

Ran the bone stock 86 auto car west across top of Indiana, then up to O'Hare, then back. About 4 hours or so. Nice day to drive.

Finished my front brakes, started sunroof removal to properly stretch the new seal. Worked to remove the black tail pipe heat shield for re-finishing.

Up-sized the rear rims & tires to 295/30ZR18s and fronts to 235/40ZR18s with TTrims. No issues with rubbing or ABS issues.

Oil change and filter and checked out the SOPG put on last year, dry as a bone! buttoned all up with belly pan and took for a spin, good to go for the season.

Met up with 7 other Long Island/Queens 928 Owners for about 3 hours at Captree State Park then drove home following Lex in his 94 GTS.

Then I spent 2 hours washing and waxing the car; came out good. Still has clear coat failure but looks way better now. Some other things I'm going to try...

Have to check the ABS sensors again...

Changed out the rear main seal, put the lower control arms back on the rear suspension, and pulled the bearings out of the torque tube. Both bearings were starting to go. No big noise yet but spinning them by hand I could hear the first sounds of impending failure.

Drove hard - Gave it to her like a man and she took it like a lady. Bowden cable adjustment after TT job is perfect. From a stop, 2nd is normal but any rapid press jumps immediately to 1st and holds until 4K RPM without WOT. I’d like to say this was actively tuned but that is the way things went back together and frankly was too whipped to tweak anything.

Wrestling with what to do for next project. All major mechanicals are done since resurrection began so I may be doing wheel powder coating ahead of X-pipe and RMB. Interior is begging for renovation too. Advice is welcome...

Also, may have convinced 2 buddies to take the Porsche dive.

Finished installing the new hood liner. Hands hurt like heck as I had to take off the hood single-handed. Ended up putting a few more scratches on the car which sucked but I plan on having it redone some day...either way just enjoying the new hood liner.

I know what to do next time better if there is a next time.

+ edit

Kept up pretty nicely with a Fourth Generation Mustang GT "King", looked like it had the usual mods. I was on the farthest right of three lanes and I floored it at the light to jump the other cars to get in the middle lane. GT must have saw me cause he navigated traffic to get to the front. I saw him coming up from behind then let him pass me on the farthest left lane since there was a car in front of me and to the right. I timed it just right where I switched lanes just as he passed and was immediately behind him. He accelerated as did I then I floored it for kick down just as he shifted. She roared as his modified exhaust rumbled and kept pace with him all up until we reached the next light.

I was seriously happy when I got home. Can't wait to finish all the to-do's and then Porken upgrades

Started to read up on the cooling fans - on my S4 they both come on full as soon as the ignition is turned on, even with the hood open, and the AC & recirculate switches off. Not normal.
