Didn't that one only work in reverse?

Different story, different characters (Kunz, not Kuhn). This one goes back to the old Rennlist email list (pre-forums).

Can't seem to find the older posts..but did find some clues for the newbies...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Bought a Green Metallic Supercharged 86.5 from a little old lady in Arizona, on April 1, 1999.
Perhaps remotely related to Al Pata Segundo from Tabasco, Mexico with the black Porsche-family edition Weissach 6-speed. (He posted somewhere around April 1, 2001). But had no part in some of his other dealings.."

Just do a search for our friend "Alando Pata Segundo", the infamous "Herr Spinnt", "Black Weissach Edition" , or "mask race", and it should drop you right in the middle of things.

Mark,

It is a G28.50 GT box... 2.72 rear end with a PSD... If you will be buying a box from Europe, VAN ZWEEDEN in Holland is your best bet. Btw, the GTS is the best box for higher output applications due to the even stronger gears and built in cooler...

Ok boys, back on topic here.

you guys got me thinking.......

actually, the 2.64 gear box, might be idea. just work the engine a little higher rpms at the tracks i visit. could be the death of it around turn 2 at thunderhill. hmmmm
138mph in 4th vs 155mph , optimal for my purposes
107mph in 3rd vs 118mph also optimal, but just pushing the RPM a little higher on key straights.
All in all, this is how I assess the gear boxes:
the 2.2 is perfect for 230-330rwhp, the 2.64 looks perfect for 380 to 420rwhp and the 2.75 looks ideal beyond that (or below 230rwhp).

I guess my only worry is the 10% higher rpm around turn 2 at T-hill

Glad you found a tranny.
How much $$$$$ if you don't mind sharing.
Are you going to send it to GB for a rebuild? The one he did for me feels great and works perfectly.Too bad you did'nt get a chance to drive it last weekend.
You should at least take a look inside yourself before installing it.
