My plan is to get there Thursday afternoon-evening...I think Sean will be there then too! We probably will be tinkering with the cars at Shop 17 (the west facing shops, not the ones facing the paddock) in the afternoon.

Friday is the open test day. We both plan on running the day to get the cars sorted...I'll probably have to adjust my suspension settings a bit to get the handling just right since I changed some things.... The open test day does have a street car session too...open to DE style cars, driver only no passengers...

Saturday Is the HOD DE event....probably a larger % of race cars do to the race school on Sunday..but is open to both street and race cars and provides instruction, allows passengers and runs a great event. There also is a drift event on the skidpad going on Saturday too....Our mechanic who helps us with the cars "Fish" will be drifting the 1927 Model T GT of Lemons racing fame...I'll probably let him wear down some of my old tires in the Estate too for filming opportunities.... So bring good video cameras!!!

Sunday Is the race school...this is open to race cars only...you MUST have a race log book and prior race experience...the school itself is full, but an open group without instruction is available last I knew. There will be 4 race 928's in our OWN group!!!!!! MK is instructing in his racer....Myself, Sean and Rick will be the students......I must admit I am glad that Rick didn't get his hot rod motor...I might have a chance to keep up with him now!!! :>) Either way it will be a blast and I am sure I will learn plenty to improve my racing!!!!

Anyone attending on anyday, the best way to spot the 928's if you don't just see them is stop by shop 17...chances are someone will be there... Also PM to get my cell phone if you don't have it already

My 79 is tucked away, and my 81's spoiler is a tool holder for my snow-blower......

This Saturday is our annual Barret-Jackson party in Elkhart Lake. I usually stop at Road America, stand outside the fence and shed a tear for spring.

 

Either Friday or Saturday. Like to be there when there is a group dinner. Is that more likely Friday or Saturday night? Will probably stay over that night rather than drive back under the influence.

 

Dang..my 928 wont make it..and the mazda is missing a stud I found in today's inspection. Gotta pull rear hub to replace the POS.

 

I will have a two queen room......I think Kibort and others might too.... My room will most likely be shared with our mechanic.....I'm sure we can find a place for you to sleep!!!!

Lets do a roll call to determine who is driving on what days.....that way spectators can also determine their plans!!!!

Im bringing the race car, obviosly, but keeping all the 'street" stuff in it, like seats, stereo, etc, so it will be comfy for a sprint on the track, albeit only 50lbs heavier than in race mode.

 

I'm rolling up Friday, running on Saturday, heading home Sunday.
