pretty damp today for the Hooked on Driving event. my day was hit with problems. first lost all 3 exhaust bolts on one header and it made a racket. thought my slightly noisy torque tube blew up. then, the next session out, the transmission blew up. 5th gear or the main input to the gear box became disconnected. good news is that it lasted 10 years of pretty hard racing, first 5 I was exceptionally hard on it, until i started to use better techniques.
Now, its toast.

anyone know where I can get a working S4 trannie?

Exciting times. If no one found extra cps/amp connector clips, you can get them from eagleday but they're terribly expensive, especially when you can get a box of paper clips from and officemax and make your own.

Had a blast it was great to meet everybody. The tequlia poisioning was nearly terminal but passed.

Thanks to every body for bringing out their beautiful cars.

Thanks to Mr Kibort for instructing us. Mark Sorry about the tranny.
Whatever Brian says about winning the mock race is B.S. I was faster right up until I spun of the track,
Dam snow tires

I feel the need to "correct" my Canadian friend...clearly he is still suffering from tequila posioning

I was quite impressed with the 928 Estate on STREET tires in the final race, the same tires we ran the entire Lemons race on back in March....it was a BLAST.... Sean was flying..............right until he flew off the track

Rick was coming on strong....but had to pit with a low battery-alt issue...it was SO much fun passing all the Miati....I must admit....I would intentionally pinch them in a corner to force them to lift...knowing they had no chance in a drag race against the Estate.....

you guys did great. Fantastic seeing everyone out there.
Glad I could help and wish we had more time to reallly ring out the 928s! conditions were challenging all the way around. rain, time, equipment, format, etc, but in the end, I hope everyone got a lot out of it. we need to go to a test day and really get the cars dialed in now! I was impressed on the group's performance in some pretty tough traffic. the last race starts were like the beginning of most spec miata races, but probably more like a reverse grid because there was no qualifying and EVERYone was racing like it was for sponsorship!! good stuff!
