Roger - will you be offering a filter/tube setup similar to Mark's? I like the look of the same diameter tubes for the entire system.

Did you gather before and after A/F ratios for the dyno runs, Roger ?
Well we just returned from the first EIS system dyno session.
Lot more detail to come but I am happy with the result.
On an 88 S4 automatic with a well maintained engine and an X pipe we gained an average of 8.5 RWHP and 5 RWT. This was after fitting the new EIS.
The car has circa 200k miles. Three pulls and with the car still on the dyno another three pulls with the new system. Very obvious that more gains could easily be made with shark tuning.
On Jim's GTS we got about 5 RWHP but his car is not stock. We will have the dyno charts later.
Another run next Thursday on another stock S4 just to make sure the numbers are repeatable.

I do know that the A/F leaned out a small bit on my car with this intake on. There was even less pre-detonation than stock. The dyno guys said mine was spot on and that increasing the fuel a tad would give some better numbers. Will have to get hopping on that Sharktuner and see what we can come up with.

OK Sean, that makes sense as the stock fuelling is too rich for max power at the top end. So if the EIS is leaning it out somewhat that is a logical result.
Waiting on the Dyno place to e-mail us the charts. I've got the files but can't get Winpep to give me the ones I want.

If nothing is available to meet needs will be working on my own custom setup still thinking on whats best and reading more on it as will be learning while designing lol.
Straight pipes are 4" the rest of the system is 3 1/2"

For some reason I can't get Winpep to show me the same stuff that it showed at the dyno, these numbers are a bit lower than we had there, but the increases are the same.
But here is a run comparison on my S4 with a before and after intake install.

Sean, You might also add to the graph legend (strictly for posterity sake) that these numbers are without sharktuning or any other enhancement. Straight 10 minute bolt-on and go.

Hacker, When I go back to Rogers I'll mail you the files, just got home after posting that and don't have them with me. Hack gave me some advice. First time messing with Winpep.
Thanks John, ya just did it for me

Nice numbers Sean! Where is the RPM values on these plots? MPH is ok but not the best metric for me.

Just tossing this out there because I'm curious. What do "we" think is the reason for the gain?
Was the MAF screen installed?
- Less restriction
- smoother flow into the MAF
- the car feels sexier with new shiny bits and works a bit harder....

Looks like you could squeak a little more HP out at high rpm with SharkTuning by flattening out the newly leaner AFR on top, probably bigger gains on torque in the low to mid range by richening the now way too lean AFRs down low.
Note that tailpipe AFRs are usually .5-1 point leaner than at the X-pipe.
