I tried to ban him for trolling, apparently it's like the directives in Robocop, I'm not able to.

Maybe all the motoring journalists could just get together at SEMA and agree that the sliver of the car guy universe that wants to read about silly vaporware cars can all get together in one place and read about vaporware there. (Maybe they could call it, 'Motor Trend'.) And leave the rest of us out of it. If I'm in IB management, where's the market analysis that says 'covering' this sort of stuff is worth the effort? I don't get it.

Job Justification isn't good enough reason?

Here's a quick rendering I did of a 2 door Panamera 3 years ago. Shortened it and made the door longer.

I, for one would seriously consider a 2 door Panamera. For me (go ahead, flame away…), the current Panamera looks like the b*stard grandchild of the 989. Perhaps they'll unf*** up the roofline in the newest iteration.
A two door, with a smoother roofline, however: Well, it juussst might be a reasonable modern iteration of the 928. Had an '84; never, NEVER should have sold it.

Not exactly. The US model is more burgundy, while the Euro at the museum is closer to Cyclam red or Amethyst. The colors are distinctly different, as are the rear ends.

Pointless Clickbait.

With a hat-tip to Nicole and Samuel for making the thread a bit informative

Regarding a two door version of the Panamera, my little finger told me that such a car will not be made in the next 3 years

And even if it is produced after that, I really hope it would not be called a "928".

Well, Porsche references the 991 as the latest iteration of the 911, so: What would prompt them to be any more honest with the '928.2'?
After all, we've all seen the 'new 718', yes?

Historical integrity.
Porsche.
Rarely overlapping, in the 21st Century.

I'm not saying it's going to be a bad car, just don't call it a 928 or the successor to the 928.

Thing is, with the mid-engine flat 8 GT platform being rumored to be approved.....it just seams odd they would muddy up the market with a Panamera coupe.
