From the article, the new 911 GTS will have a string engine! This IS exciting!

Not as exciting as it being stringer than a Carrera S, now that would require a big ball...

Yeaup they lost me right there.

This sounds like the automotive section of The Onion.

What Nicole wrote-^

So much $h1+ in that article. Written by a third grader, not in English, and then run through google translate several times.

Too make the engine string to support a more than 420 bhp, German engineers discovered way to introduce powdered Black Rhino Horn into turbocharger. This make it very much stringer boastful!

P.S. I love that the GTS comes with "...central locking rims too." LOL!

But, but - what if I buy one of those 928S4 decals, then use a magic marker to change the '4' to a '5', then stick it on the back bumper? I can grind off any 'Panamera' logos I find on it too.

Surely that will qualify?

The current issue of Panorama discusses new versions of the Panamera: shooting brake (station wagon) and a 2-door/shorter version (?), about which they reference the 928. I'm trying to remain calm.

I have heard about the production version of the Panamera Sport Tourismo (beautiful car!), from Porsche employees, but nothing about a 2 door version.

As long as they don't make a shortened two-door shooting brake.

Vega anyone?

Correction (?) to my December Panorama reference. Here is the relevant paragraph in Street Talk, p.18, which seems to conflate the Cayenne and Panamera platforms - they can't be the same, can they?

"The new Cayenne shares a platform with the Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga. The Cayenne has been offered as a hybrid for several years but a coupe version is being considered for both the Porsche and the Bentley. It would essentially be an update of the 928, developed on the Panamera's new MSB architecture and filling a market void that has existed since 1995. Finally, the name of the Panamera shooting brake (station wagon) has been released: Panamera Sport Turismo."

I guess we'll all be torn between getting the bastard-child Porsche version, or the baggage-free Bentley.

I had 90GT when the Cayenne S very first came out. Went for a test drive of the new Cayenne S. Have a very trusting salesman at the local dealer and he let me really flog it. Was surprised at how much it felt like i was driving my 90GT, only taller.

Not sure I make the same connection, as we have a Cayenne S, and it's more powerful, and w/ AWD, drives much different than our 928

Both are wonderful vehicles, but to me, different.
