I spoke with BB79 this morning. All is a go for an inspection, and a deposit drop on Monday. If all is a go after that I plan on driving it back to Cerritos on Thursday the 9th. Hopefully this shark does not bite me in the ***. Cause as we all know shark bites HURT.

See my next thread for an even better deal on a package deal... 2 (two) running 88' S4 cars for $7000.....

If it were red, cassirot, blue, or any sharp color it would have been mine on the first page. Hope this all works out well, and we keep it in the fold.

Love that the signature is already uppdated to already reflect the new shark. Now that is optimism! Good luck Mike. Time for some good karma to come your way to offset the first used engine fiasco.

Actually... as of this post... it has not been updated. It still shows the pair of '88 automatics that he was planning on getting. Hopefully, the pair will go to a worthy home!

You'll have to let us know everything about your new '89! Congrats!

If this car comes out decent on the PPI, BB79 will have earned some serious Karma points for not being greedy with the flip. Good show my brother. Not that there is anything wrong with making a profit on fair market value for a nice shark...

Thanks to everyone who supported this dramatic sale...lol. No hard feelings to anyone who may have put it down, I don't hold grudges! *cheers*
If this deal falls through, PM me as I have PM's from two other listers that would like my evaluation and pictures of the car.

Went and checked out the car today. It seems like a fine deal taking into account the price. There are quite a few little flaws that need tending. To BB79's credit, he sent me some more photos and a begining list of descrepancies. Although there are some areas on the car that need paint touchup, and a tiny amount of actual metal damage, the car really looks pretty nice in person. I love the color combo. The big story here is the crankshaft axial play checked out at about .008" NO TBF!!!!!. Engine seemed strong. I dropped off a deposit and am planning on picking it up this weekend. I'll take plenty of photos. I plan on hosting a "come help fix little bull**** on Mike's 89 S4 BBQ" sometime soon. (Now I have 2 cars to try and prep for Sharktoberfest...) I will report more as I discover it.

Congradulations Mike!
It's nice seeing a fellow lister get a great deal, and very nice knowing it came from a another lister!
BB79 - many points to you too!

Mike-

Post up a time and place for the fixer-upper BBQ with enough lead time to give me a shot at getting a hall pass......
