Has there been an asking price established/disclosed yet or is it a secret?

More than new with the then price adjusted to 2008 dollars.
Or should it be in Deutschmark/Euro then converted to the 'strong' US dollar.

Chuck, Kermit is certainly the gauge of value, and Kie's find will fetch a pretty penny for the color and mileage... and the good story.

I am anxiously watching because it will set the value for my 10k mile car, with 5spd, I don't want to sell it, but it certainly makes you feel good to know it is worth the cake.. LOL

Yea, I can safely say that I will be OUT at $42k or whatever that original sticker said on it... If I am spending that kind of money I am going to get a low miles (but not 3500 low miles, probably under 20k miles though) Ferrari 400i and pocket the extra $15k and have a prancing horse in my garage instead of a 7th 928... I will have many more 928's, but I won't pay out the nose for one. That said, Kie has not said anything to me about his thoughts on price/value.

As was aptly put, it is worth what someone will pay for it and no more. A recent 3900 mile '91 S4 sold in FL for $20k!! Pretty much same miles (crap color exterior, but I liked the interior) and much newer for what that is worth... I suspect there were fewer '91 S4's built than '82's and they were certainly a MUCH more advanced car.

Anyway, only Kie knows the story on this one and I look forward to how it unfolds. Were I in his shoes I would keep the thing for awhile. He knows the parties that are interested and I don't suspect anyone is in a great hurry... After all, it won't be bought to be driven anyway...as one of his posts stated, 401k on wheels!

We're playing this one close to the vest for now... sorry guys!

One observation folks may find interesting. Without exception, the folks here stateside who have expressed interest have all asked me to name my price. Everyone phrases it their own way, but it always boils down to "How much?"...

...as opposed to the Europeans (and one guy in Japan) who have contacted me. All of those folks just get right to the point and tell me what they think the car is worth/or would like to pay. No messing around!

Unfortunately ..most of the people on this list (I said most..don't get your panties in a bunch)....are cheap ole buggers..to coin a phrase.... All said and done...it's just another 82 928 with a 4.5 AT....but then again..I am said cheap bugger...and not at all your target demographic ... good luck on the sale...may you find a Chuck Z or like to buy it

Default Photo shoot tomorrow... nervous!

Not really nervous... just dreading getting up at oh-dark-thirty.

Installed the stretchy cargo cover thing for the pics in the morning. Looks nice although I hated snapping the 4 snaps that bundle up the front of it nicely when you have the rear seats up. They had never been snapped together! No one better ask me to unsnap them for fear of pulling the snaps out of the fabric.

A few more pics~

Chuck, you are as sick as I am because I was thinking the same damn thing!

Guys look at that 6th pic down w/ the tools... How many of you guys still have your STOCK, FACTORY key pouch with your cars??? You almost NEVER see those these days! I am fortunate to have one for my '84S and one for my '88S4. I guess I should say I have THE ONES for those cars...I have one for my '94 that is a virtual match, but it is NOT THE ONE!

Very cool Kie! Give you $15k for it right now, that is WAY above market for a nice '82! LOL!

Kermit has a memorable name; this one needs one too. What shall it be?
