He's just dynoing it right? If it's a drag race, it could be a whole different story...

This seems plausible.....

I'd be afraid of over-reving the engine since the RPM cutoff is gone....throwing a valve or something.....

The plan is a run on an airfield to exceed 210 mph any dyno runs are for testing. Little point on guessing about what might fail since IF it lets go the evidence will probably be destroyed. Things tend to get pretty messed up all at once

True on the post-mortem problems: Did the piston collapse and seize which caused the rods to fly through the block, or did the rods get noodled causing the piston to run amok? Either way you end up with a similar-looking collection of bent, broken, oily pieces...

Yes when pieces of the piston come out the hole where the valve used to be that is when you know it was too much RPM .... 911 but I remember it well

Ya know, I don't recall Brett saying that he was going to set the new record with the car intact.

I mean, imagine being at the helm, you've just triggered to final nitrous stage and the car is hurtling down the runway at 215mph. You think you hear a slight engine noise, or your gauges tell you your going a little lean, but the GPS keeps climbing toward 220 and beyond and you've got nothing but open runway ahead of you. Do you lift? or are you committed at that point and keep it to the floor?

Done Deal.

I was showing your pictures to some friends at work today. They think you are nuts but they will be cheering for you. They told me I should run the same "Wizards of Nos" set up on my car.

Good Luck

Just curious, when was the last time anyone saw a 928 rod bend except for hydro-lock situations?

Hi

You should lol, Wizards of Nos stuff is years ahead of most American systems, Trev Langfield (owner of Wizards) has done consultancy work for both Holley/Nos and NX and both have sold his products in the past...

All the best Brett
