Brett,
I am NOT trying to be an *** here, really. But the idea that your car is beyond the capacity of any dyno is blowing my mind.

My friends dyno is nothing special (they have SuperFlow's in the UK). It can handle this car without any issues. This video was an early build, later with the car making much more horsepower (over 1,500rwhp) his dyno handled it just fine:

Find a better dyno, street tuning is for amateurs.

Hi

Lol...You are not understanding what I am saying about mine and a dyno...

IF i put mine on a dyno and hit the Nitrous switch and it SUDDENLY goes from roughly 350 hp to 1350 hp ....what do you think will happen to my engine or transmission ???

Thats why I wont dyno it, until my 200 mph runs are complete, then I "might" try it...

All the best Brett

What will happen? I have no idea, but whatever happens will be safer on the dyno then on the runway. If the engine / transmission cannot survive a dyno tune, it sure as hell isn't going to hold under load at speed.

I thought this was a progressive system, so that it could be safe to run on a dyno ?

I agree.
Safety is the biggest reason to run it on a dyno first.
Brett, maybe you should give the folks at Top Gear a call, they might film it for you.

Isn't Brett's goal to break the 200 mph mark? Or is it to produce 1000+ HP? My vote is for him to take it out to the airstrip and go for the 200 mph. If it survives then try to dyno. Why risk blowing it up on the dyno when he could blow it up trying to go 200 mph? Of course, that's easy for me to say thousands of miles away where I'm safe from the explosion.

Wade, that's my kind of contrarian thinking. Good point!

I've seen what can happen when you lose an engine at high speeds. It's not pretty. I don't do things half-assed when my life is on the line.

Hi

Thats PRECISELY why I wont dyno it first....

NOBODY knows what will happen with 1000 hp extra...not even me...

So a run that MIGHT work is worth the risk...

A dyno that MIGHT work is NOT worth the risk...

All the best Brett

You can get the lower stages tuned in safely on the dyno which would make it easier and safer to extrapolate the tuning for the higher stages. If you do this I'll pay for your nitrous refill after the dyno tune.

Brett, is it worth the risk on a run that might not work?
I am pulling for you to make this work, but it is not worth dying over.
Trying to do this in one shot with so many new and unproven things going on with the car is putting a lot of trust in "Hope".
We never did find out if you are running a independent fuel system for the N2O, are you?
It sounded like from a previous post you were not.

Regardless, I do hope it works out for you and you stay safe.

Hi

Thanks for the offer but this doesn't have "stages" in the sense that you mean (American systems like NOS, NX etc)

It has 1 "stage" from 10 hp (1%) to 1000 hp (100%)

Yes I could put it on a dyno for say...100 or 200 hp but wouldn't risk more and little point as I have already run more than that on the road

And I know me lol, if I got it on a dyno, I would be too tempted to try for that 1000 hp lol.....

Think of it this way...

On a dyno I would be going from 0 mph to possible 200 plus in a few seconds...

OR

On my run I will be going from around 90 mph to 200 plus in 30 to 50 seconds if needed.

I know which I think will stress the engine/transmission less.....

All the best Brett
