Thanks for everyone's constructive and positive comments. I hope I am happy with this when its done. I can't find the pics of the fuel rails. The Fuel rails are huge and aluminum. The car will run on E85, and the entire system is -10 or larger. SS -10 fuel tuning is very difficult to work with. Electric PS pump from an MR2 in the back to move weight rearward, or at least off the front.

(Edit, found some more pics)

The white stuff in the coolant area has been cleaned off. So the block is now spotless and even smoother than it looks.

Below is what I did to fit the 10" Booster into the 78:

Brendan,

What a great job you're doing. I can't imagine the number of hours you've spent doing, and the number just thinking about what you'll do!

Looks really interesting,

what fuel cell are you using? How are you going to have your filler neck?

I am trying to get the original location to work with a custom cell. I will get a custom cell made, to fit into the normal area, but with various changes for better safety, like where the pickups and returns are. There is a guy in florida that seems very good at this. The a Weldon Fuel pump, and FPR.

Took some more pics today of my "mocking" of the fuel rail and injectors to see how the side plates can be spaced.

Looks like I can make an anchor for these two studs, and then laterally tie in the rail to a hunk of aluminum that will be he anchor.

The "bump" in a large side plate extension would need to be very large. It looks like I can get a bit more than a 1/4 without having to go crazy with getting around the rail:

Also took some pics today while trying to measure for the largest fuel cell that will fit in the rear passenger area in the hatch. There is a custom cell maker that I have spoken to, and he said send pics and dimensions and he will see what he can do.

Awsome work, Brendan. Thanks for sharing.

I dare your to enter it into a car show and put mirrors on the ground to show off the killer blue underpinnings.

Thats what I was planning for the other car body. It should take off like 100 pounds easily.

Do they allow cross-polination cars in these shows?

Wouldn't it make more sense to relocate the battery and use the whole rear area for a fuel cell? I wouldn't think it would affect your desire to keep it as a street car.
