I don't know whether your radiator has side tanks for a transmission cooler, but (if you have an automatic) check the transmission fluid level.

Is it not freezing overnight where you are?..............if so you should be using a a/f mix otherwise you may have a split block to repair.

ok good...............can you drain the engine oil into a clean drain pan and look at it closely? If so is it contaminated with antifreeze/water or what?
I dont know how but was there any chance any water/coolant get into the oil filter?

i'm really hoping that all it is, is a blown gasket and not a crack head, block and anything else like that.... but.. i would be happier with something simpler... where's the best place to price head gaskets... someone has to have them for less than $300.... after all, it's just a gasket.....

928 Int is selling head gskts for $84.
As has been mentioned pressurise the coolant system and do a leakdown test before assuming it is a bad gasket.
Did you confirm what was causing the smoke from under the hood?
