Default Odd equipment / specs

Hi all,
Very interesting topic and some nice cars.
I have a 88’ S4 -ZJS841342
Can someone check the car what it actually is?
(Manual, 018,220, M474,no sunroof, sport seats with only electric height, manual fore/aft)
Has odd door panels, lost its original wheels, but has no manual code in the option list..

I would love to see a good quality picture of the serial number of the gearbox to precisely answer to this question
Because, I do have an idea...

Perfect. Now, I would like to know the VIN (by PM, eventually), because I don't have this gearbox number into my records.
10501, 10505, 10509, 10510, 10527, 10528, 10535 and 10536,are missing.

Here is what is written:
G28.12
Spd 40%
J-Programm
Club-Sport

So, a G28/12 gearbox (regular box for a Euro 928 manual S4)
with a 40% limited slip differential (M220 option)
from the J-programm (1988 MY)
Club-Sport specification.

And then, the funny thing. I'm convinced that the early examples of G28/55 were G28/12 converted, with a new type and serial number stamped.
You can clearly see on this one that this was G28 12 2J 10?85 and now it's G28 55 2J 10509, so the production gearbox number 9 (first is 501).

On my own CS, the Porsche records indicated the original serial number! I don't know if the mistake is still present into the Porsche system.
It was G28 12 2J 10778 and now is G28 55 2J 10503.
This only applies to the early ones. It seems that things became a bit more industrial around the 20th gearbox.

I hope that this is clear.
