This is not a 1988 CS but a preproduction 1989 GT. I wait for the confirmation of the VIN.
There shouldn't be CS sticker and marking on the back

I'm on my way home from a good trip.
I collected my car's body in eastern Europe and transferred it in Alsace where phase 2 of the restoration will take place.
Everything is at the same place now, and most importantly, a place where a friend of mine who is a 928 specialist will be in charge of phase 2. He has worked on more than 140 different 928's in 10 years since he is a professional, including my former 1989 CS.
Phase 1 was the dissembling of the car, restoration of the body and everything except the engine, gearbox and transaxle.
I have collected the pictures of the process and would have been scared to see them before.
At least, I know where my money went
It's strange for me to inspect the car in its current condition. A lot of small things to do, but these are mainly details and the finish is impressive, especially the paint.
This trip was also the opportunity to meet Garan and have a free lunch
It was a pleasure to discuss with you.

Sir, Great pleasure to briefly meet you and your mechanic (travelling with your mechanic is a sign of complete and total petrol headedness - salut!). and many thanks for the seat bases (now seeking the backs if anyone here has a lead).

Great progress Samuel!
What a super save of a car that could have slipped through away into oblivion. I can not think of a better person to manage the restoration and then ownership and driving of this great machine.
Salute'

A general observation: Phase 1 was really long and expensive because the car was involved at some point into an accident, badly repaired and certainly also driven on salty roads in winter.
If you want to restore a 928, search for accident's traces. A 928 is well protected again the rust from factory, even if not perfectly.
I would not restore any other version of the 928 from this starting condition, except, maybe, one of the very early ones (the 12 from February 1977 in particular).
