Or you could get a larger crank pulley...

Darien:

I have tried to take pics...but with the radiator hose etc in the way there is nothing usable.
Just route everything carefully to the "rail" below your new cut out. I placed the coil in the same area, behind the fan shroud so that it was protected from as much direct heat as possible.

Does anyone know what the next size pulley available would do with an 424 autorotor. I currently have the 2.75 pulley and I am seeing 7 PSI.

I'd also like to see if there is any interest in a small group purchasing a Shark tuner with the 85/86 upgrade. I'm not aware of any that are for rent.

Regards,

Ken

Bill, Thanks for the info. I have the 73 mm pulley with new motor mounts so we will have to see. Darien, I ( we, including Ferd, sorry Fred, no I like Ferd better, cfc928gt ) have been looking at larger crankpulley option and might have found one. There are three of us in Denver with variously complete Eaton Kits and no instructions so we are looking for all the help we can get. Bill, my wife and I are coming to Tahoe. Hope to see you and by the way what is your favorite food, drink, bribe, etc.
Best to all, Ralph

Ralph: I copied Andy's instructions. You want a copy?

I'll bet a 73mm is going to be very tight.

Also, any of you guys with 87+ cars are going to need a throttle cable bracket. I can make some or I can show you my crude design and you can improve on it. Others have.

FYI..I never actually tried it but some eye ball measurements and Murphs pulley may work for you guys. The issue actually is with the size of the upper pulley you will need to actaully keep the boost DOWN. You can only go so big on the upper due to hood clearance. You may need to run spacers on the Powersteering pulley also.

dug this up from my archives of pics.

The top pic is murphs pulley and you can see the SC belt runs right up against the AC pulley....as it does on Andys pulley shown below. So in theory the spacing/offset is pretty much the same.

Tony, thanks for the pic of Tim's pulley. Unfortunately I think it's way too big and will result in over reving the eaton. Does anyone know what the max rpm speed of the eaton is? I've read both 14,000 and 16,000 rpm.

Bill, any help and insight you can give us at Tahoe would be greatly appreciated. Ralph and hopefully Scott will both be there, I can't make it due to a wedding but Ralph's been instructed to buy you anything your heart desires as well as handle your bags and polish your car.

Bill, A copy of Andy's instructions would be great and yes your cable set up is much nicer than the original. If you have drawings/ sketch we could fab them here or I could take measurement and Pixs in Tahoe.
Thanks, Ralph

Hi Shane,

The story is my Euro is "Huffing and Puffing" with my 16V prototype system and feels AMAZING. Just started SharkTuning it so no numbers yet. I have 4 completely new systems/products that I hope to get on the dyno in the next few weeks.

Here are a few more photos for you...

Fantastic! Glad to see that particular system come together for you Dave!

And I bet it does feel amazing on your Euro!

Thanks for the additional pics!

The pics are great but you really need to be up close to see the attention to detail and to pick up the manifold parts to realize the extent of the work that dave has done...to both develop this kit and improve over other versions. I wish i would have grabbed a pic of the T and G fit that he machined into the upper and lower manifolds...as well as the injector bosses. Its the $hit Shane, VERY NICE! A place for everything and everything is in its place as it were!

Thanks guys!

Tony,
Here is a pic of the new Series II lower casting and you can see the "tongue" around the perimeter. Plus a pic of the o-ring seat and milling for the injector. Also a few pics of the new Series II casting (unmilled) and the old modified version for comparison.

Oh heck, just for giggles, the last photos are of the Prototype 16V intake "exposed". This is a non-intercooled testing version. The production version (IC'd and Non-Ic'd) will have the same style lower casting as the new 32V system above but with the new outer perimeter shape of the 16V design.

The 16V manifold looks like a model from Star Trek!

I have to add that what DR has done is pretty friggen amazing. The pictures look good, but it looks better in person.

DR, you know I'm on the list for the new manifold, IC, etc... That will make for a great winter project! Also, I HAVE TO HAVE the new air filters. They would look awesom at Sharks in Hell!

I got my new bracket from DR and will be installing it this week after I do a little TB inspection. Can't wait!

Dave, are you considering a CIS variant?
