Exactly. It has mesh/screen in the center of the 'bolt'.

Mine does the same thing.
I saw a cobra that had a line instead of a vent that ran from the snout all the way up to the top of the SC and drained into a small reservoir, which itself was plumbed back into the top of the supercharger. So when you blow out oil, it looked like it gets recirculated.

Very cool! Now you need to move to Portland so we can terrorize unsuspecting vettes and m3's together.
I think this is the 1st time this has ever happened and no one asked but didn't you dyno/sharktune?? Where's the #'s TS Brother?

BTW, are you going to add the GTS breather system? I would think that would be high on the list. I have a motor on a stand I could send you the cam covers off of so you could get them powder coated and set up for the GTS system. Then you could send me your old ones when you swap and you would only be down one day.

Can someone post a pic of how much oil they're getting sprayed out? Mine just seems a little excessive

I had the snout off of my Autorotor, and it seemed that there was an oil seal on the input shaft. I wouldn't think that there'd be much oil getting past. Might this indicate a pressure leak into the gearcase?

I believe the SC unit builds up pressure inside and that little hole in the snout is designed to relieve the pressure. The cork-filter screw that's supposed to be in there keeps the oil from coming out as well (I assume that like an engine, oil gets whipped up and might be carried out by the air inside the SC). Every twinscrew unit i've seen so far squirts some oil. I think it might be possible to connect a hose to that hole (with an adapter) and drain it somewhere.
