Ok, the weekend pics. Everything went well we got some things painted...new hatch. I didnt get much done on the main part of the car itself minus taking the carpet out. But the weekend at the paint shop was very cool. The Painter Sean is very proficient. And since I've done a few bikes and a truck (painted) I came in handy and didnt get bored hahaha. They used the term "complete color change" and said wherever there is paint there will be new paint just like the factory. So there is is.

The new hatch Thanks to Mark Kibolt It needs some work but not more than any other one short of new I could have gotten. I sized up the wing (now painted) and threw it on too see what it was going to look like.... DOESNT THIS FIRST PIC WITH NO WING LOOK JUST LIKE A '75 FORD PINTO HATCHBACK???? hahaha

And now my favorite piece of the car.... man that is ONE BIG PIECE OF PLASTIC!!!!

DONT YOU THINK THAT THAT WOULD BE BAD AS A MOTHER FOR A FRONT BUMPER??? I COULD JUST SEE A HEADLIGHT ON BOTH SIDES OF THAT "PORSCHE" I'm thinking about cutting one out of a junk bumper and having it plastic welded into mine hahaha

Well Thats all we could get done this weekend...... I have been starting to collect some parts for the interior but thats about it. Thanks for enduring the same old same old

It has an extra tooth on the sprockets, for taller gearing, so it is less of a wheelie monster, and better on the top-end.
Makes launches less of a terrifying experience! But you can still wheelie it if you want to... It looks like a similar color to your car, actually...

So you went with the platinum metallic - my favourite colour for these beasts!

I saw this and about dropped dead....... We got the color code off of this model and replaced one of the silver bases from a fine flake to a medium. It has two different silvers in it. I think its going to look real cool. I got the whole idea from your post on the door moulding. Never stopped looking at that.

looking Great Jeff. Now on the hood and hatch, are you going all the way down to the bare metal, or are you doing something else? Please do advise.

Hey Brendan, Yeh I'll be going all the way to the metal on the hatch , it needs to have a little work done to it and the outside corners were a little bent from shipping. But the hood was in great shape with just three small pits so we just 400 gritted it and shot a nice coat of poly primer to fill it all in. We just 800 gritted the primer (wet sanded) afterward and its ready to accept the paint. I wish it all was as easy as the hood ............... Thanks Dozman again for all your help on this project. You are the man!
