So off everything came, Doors, Hatch, Sunroof< rear bumper, fenders....everything....even the little trim that seperates the roof from the quarters. By the way Look how small the shark looks compared to My Buddy and how big it looks compared to me hahaha...... 6'8'' and 400 lbs must have some advantages.......

This is a stud gun in action, Its made in germany, hmmmmmmm. this was a dent in the rocker panel.. This a real fast tool ..no more drilling and pulling dents.. this welds a stud to the body and has a special puller. Very very fast. I had this dent gone in 10 minutes.

This Quarter is now right were we want it to be. He even filled in the antenna hole and straitened out a little bit of the stock body shape. What I mean by that is it has just a little bit straiter coming down the quarter between the hatch and the door. It looks a little more stout filled in a bit....not enough to see it if you didnt know what to look for. It will be cool with the paint.

Hey Jeff. I just recently completed my tear down, paint and reassemble project on my 81'. New windshield interior items and paint make a world of difference. I didn't get as involved as you are getting, but it was still a lot of work. Keep the updates coming. By the way, how do you attach more than one image at a time? I could only get one to post.

I just attach the first one then cut and paste it several times and just change the picture number. Or just keep hitting the image button as many times as you like.

Yeh man I love working on this thing....after this weekend it will all be putting it back together. All of the work is nearly complete as far as getting ready for paint. I cant wait. I'm really excited about the new color and I'm trying to finalize some ideas about the Interior as far as colors go. I found a guy who will redo the seats at a good price so I'm going to go with the two tone leather to give it just a little something different. I just have to make some decisions.

By the way man Nice Car!

We didnt get a whole lot done this weekend because we had to go to the Kenny Chesney concert lastnight, drink a load of Jack Daniels with our cowboy hats on hahaha lotta women there!! WOW. Anyway. The panels are coming along all the way doawn to that last quarter (the one with the profanity on it.) That will be the last of the body panels to get worked. Then the whole thing will get a prime, a block sand, another prime, then a wetsand, sealer, and paint. Another three weekends and we'll be painting. So I got into the interior and have been buying parts from some of the guys on here who have been a tremendous help through the whole process. We also started to trim out the pieces with the new color. I think it's going to look cool.
I sure hope this stuff isnt too boring.....just keeping a journal in the event that someone might enjoy watching it go through the facelift.

Here is the inside gettin pulled out. I was really suprized to see how thw rear seats were glued in haha I pretty much have the design for the new look in my head. We'll see if it's worth a crap

Did you alreayd tell us which brand that rellay good primer is? The stuff that was painted on the basketball? I will be doing my front bumper cover (or the whole car if your thread keeps catching my eye) and it woul dbe great to give my paint guy the good stuff.

BTW - I appreciate you giving the info on the body smoother and the bumper filler, etc.

Thanks,
Brendan
