Default Yes Rendezvous 928 is now a yearly event

For those coming from the east, there is a great Lakota Sioux Indian Museum in Chamberlain SD (right at the Missouri river on I-90). And of course Sturgis and Wall Drug! Those from the west, don't miss
The suggestion for a 'floating 928 Rendezvous is great. In the era between about 2002 and 2010, the 928 Owners Club had 4-5 'international' gatherings. It seems to me it is time to resurrect that concept, as there are a lot of NEW 928 owners since that era, along with quite a few stalwarts that are still around and appreciate the great car that Porsche designed/produced for the first time from a clean sheet of paper Organizer(s) should be able to get some support from the 928 OC.

Gary--
The Rendezvous 928 event will be in a different region each year. Harvey has set up the groundwork and development for Shark in the Badlands. After everything he has done to build the event we have been asked to be involved forming
Rendezvous 928 "Sharks in the Badlands" 2020.

I was just joking, maybe. I hope we can find some open roads as there are very few left in Colorado. Ugh! Back roads and mountain passes will make for a great adventure.

Each year we plan to change it up to celebrate the region the event is being held in and always a limited one of time release. I'm very glad to see so many people embracing this concept. A touring event that involves everyone in different regions.
This was not conceived to replace any one event but to involve more people in more events. Having a local event really makes it easier to attend. The success of the events relies on everyone to self promote in their core region.
Everyone continues to step up and go beyond any expectations.

Sean has to lead the tech session

Thanks for the support.
There are so many choices for things to see and do it is almost a challenge to eliminate events. Harvey is knocking himself bbn out trying to get some plans finalized but this will be a fun one.
We are looking into an afternoon drive that ends at Mt. Rushmore at sunset. They have a ceremony where they light the Mountain side. This is still on the maybe list and could be a great start to a starlight drive.
The ceremony includes a film with the history of the presidents, the singing of a patriotic song and then all veterans in the audience -- and it is a big audience-- are invited onto the stage to give their name and branch of service. Then the flag is lowered.

It's in INK on the calendar!

No way I'm going to miss this event!

Too much fun will be a good starting point after making what seems like two million decisions on this cottage project in an obscure location on the north shore of Little Traverse Bay!

Sounds like the Minnesota 928 group may be waking up, after several years of no activity. That would be great! We used to do a lot of country runs together!

Just a friendly reminder that Rapid City is a tourist destination. I would recommend booking your rooms early. I only started with 40 rooms, and from what I am seeing and hearing is that we will go thru those room quickly. We can get more rooms if we get close to filling up the initial 40. So lets start booking rooms. If the current 40 are not booked prior to 30 days out they go back into inventory. The suites we are getting are a great deal.

Thanks to everyone that is talking this up and getting more people involved. It is going to be a great time, and some fantastic runs thru some beautiful places.

Default Available rooms at Sharks in The Badlands "rate"

Harvey really negotiated a great deal on these rooms
make sure you let them know you are with the group when you make reservations.
Hotel direct (605) 341-0101
They only have 4 left in the block for Wednesday and Thursday. There are more rooms available Friday an Saturday. Harvey has been working double time getting this set up. This will be one of those events you will regret not attending.
