July is still a long ways away. Besides, driving will be safer than flying.

Everyone will be ready to stretch their legs. Cars will be ready for the drive to Sharks in the Badlands in July.

Given the current state of “Shelter in Place”, this trip won’t come soon enough.

Default One of the many sites we will be visiting

Over the decades, Mount Rushmore has grown in fame as a symbol of America-a symbol of freedom and hope for people from all cultures and backgrounds. All the cultures that make up the fabric of this country are represented by the memorial and surrounding Black Hills.

Steve,

Are you driving your pristine Turbo? Or, the 420,000 mile 40th anniversary 911? When are you getting another 928?

I live in Western Nebraska and I know the Black Hills/Badlands areas quite well. If you haven't yet, you absolutely must add Iron Mountain Road (Route 16A between Custer and Keystone) to the itinerary! Google it and check it out on google maps. Pigtails, tunnels, views of Mount Rushmore, one of the most amazing drives. Needles highway is a must, too. The whole area is fantastic, it will be a great trip! I wish I had a 928 and could join you all...

Wait a minute, what makes you believe you need a 928 to attend? I owned two 928's but my current car is a 2015 Porsche 911 TTS. That's what I'm taking to this Porsche event. The 928 group is fantastic, and very welcoming of anyone interested in Porsches.

doc993 You are welcome to attend even without a 928. As for Iron Mountain road that is one of the routes we have planned as well as coming back on needles highway. Lots of routes here that people will enjoy.

I agree that's like staying home from Lemans because you don't have enough HP. It's always a fun community event.
