I hope I'm up and running by then, so for me anything but the holiday weekend due to all the extra traffic on the road. Always wanted to see the badlands......

That would be a great idea! Some of the most scenic roads and historic sites around. Besides being so close to the twin cities, maybe some of the, "can't drive more that 50 miles" crowd might show up!

I'd go for the third week in July, Have not been to the badlands for a few decades and an event in the northern part of the country is overdue!

No Problem, should be fun. The question is trailer or drive? I'm thinking drive on this adventure...
BTW. the U-Boat is running superbly!

So far we have about 13 folks committed to coming. Looks like the 3rd week in July (17-19) is the preferred dates. I am going to start looking at places to hold the event, and hotels to accommodate everyone.
Thanks,
Harvey

I am wondering if families would like to come this way as well. There is a lot to do and see in the Black Hills. I can arrange for a bus for the families to tour the area / go to Mount Rushmore.
Any thoughts?

Interestingly, the original owner of my 1991 XX8 Wide Body GT's son lives if Sturgis, SD and I'm sure he would want to visit his Dad's old car...
Any further thoughts on this adventure?
