Very cool find, Drew. Those seats are amazing.

BTW: I haven't forgotten about that project. I'm still looking forward to it, but I am just completely swamped right now.

Brumos car is a remarkable find. Wow. That must have been a fun hunt.

Here's a better picture of Jim's Perl 87 5 speed that Drew mentioned above for completeness.
Its a striking car. Jim found it at a yacht club in Annapolis. It was a proud moment pulling that thing home on a trailer, lots of looks!

Your new Brumos find will get the same attention!

Deborah had a racing career in the 1980s, driving a variety of cars under Brumos Racing, El Salvador Racing, Rinzler Motor Racing, and Rouch Racing. I'm going to bet my 928 got driven properly on occasion

1982:
IMSA GTP Grand Finale - Daytona - Porsche 924 #58 I found a Youtube video of this event. WOW. Grainy but worth watching...bunch of famous guys driving real race cars. Gives a great sense of the raw nature of these events before big money media coverage came along.

1983:
12 Hrs of Sebring - Coca Cola Classic - Porsche 924 #58
Datsun Grand Prix of Endurance - Riverside - Porsche 924 #58
Charlotte Camel GT - Charlotte - Porsche 924 #58
IMSA Finale - Daytona - Porsche 924 #58

1984
Sunbank 24 - Daytona - Porsche 924 #58
12 Hrs of Sebring - Coca Cola Classic - Porsche 924 #58

1986
Sunbank 24 - Daytona - Tiga Mazda #9
Atlanta Journal Camel Grand Prix - Tiga Porsche #9
Lime Rock Camel Grand Prix - Lime Rock - Tiga Porsche #9
Mid Ohio 500 Camel Grand Prix - Mid Ohio - Tiga Porsche #9
IMSA Finale - Daytona - Tiga Porsche #58

1987
Sunbank 24 - Daytona - Roush Mustang #22
Merkur Classic - Sears Point - Roush Capri #4
Detroit Grand Prix - Roush Capri #4
Chequered Flag Club - Mid Ohio - Roush Capri #4
Road America 500 - Road America - Roush Mustang #11
Provini 200 - Road America - Roush Capri #4
Rothmans Trans Am - Mosport - Roush Capri #4

1988
Sunbank 24 - Daytona - Roush Mustang #22
12 hours of Sebring - Sebring - Merkur xr4ti #6
Lincoln Mercury Classic - Sears Point - Merkur xr4ti #3
Motor City 100 - Detroit Grand Prix - Merkur xr4ti #3
Escort Trans Am - Niagra Falls Grand Prix - Merkur xr4ti #3
WMMS-FM Trans Am - Cleveland - Merkur xr4ti #3
Rothmans Trans Am - Mosport - Merkur xr4ti #3

The interior actually does look amazingly good considering the amount of years it sat outside in the hot Jacksonville sun! After pressure washing it actually looks pretty decent in the pics! Interesting that Mrs. Gregg passed on the Limited Slip option.
I saw this car posted on the JAX Craigslist list back around the 2012-2013 time period. When I met Tony at Amelia I had mentioned this car, that it still might be available. Tony was able to contact someone else in the area that knew exactly what garage it was at in South JAX area. It's in good hands now, and a worthy save for sure!
BTW, nice video of the 1982 Daytona 24hr., The 935's where in the twilight of their competitiveness at that time, the Lola T600's displayed a glimpse of the early ground effects racers and where the future was heading in IMSA . Ironic that the JDavid sponsered 935, John Fitzgerald race car, lost it rear tail while at high speed at Riverside in 1983, killing legendary Porsche driver Rolf Stommelen [not sure if it was this serial # car, but looks the same with the long Moby Dick tail], and Bob Wollek was to die also, riding his bicycle back from practice to the hotel at Sebring in 2001, killed by a elderly man who didn't see him on the shoulder of the road.[ I believe state hwy 97]. The late 70's & early 80's was probably the most interesting time in IMSA history, great cars, interesting drivers, and great races!

^^ Lou, Interesting you mention the loss of Bob Wollek at Sebring in 2001. Andrew and I were at the race when it happened... What a sad tragedy and loss to Porsche racing.

Back on the Deborah Gregg racing career. She drove all sorts of cool stuff: Really wish she had raced a 928!

Oh, bummer! I would have loved lending a hand on it. Best of luck with the restoration. Please keep this thread updated with pictures and progress.

About that interior... some parts are ok, others trashed. It started out all black leather with the Porsche script inserts. Leather door panels, headliner, dash, visors, etc. I've never seen 928 script seats in the early seat version, but I suspect the whole headrest pad was replaced on all 4 seats when the stripes were added. At some point the rear quarters were replaced with vinyl ones.. I don't think they built cars with leather doors and vinyl quarters.. but who knows. All of the carpet has been replaced with some really crappy loop carpet reminiscent of what came in my 68 Firebird. The dash pod and A pillars took the western FL sun and are completely blown. Most of the other panels and consoles are better but all need some love, the seats all have leather splits somewhere but the script stuff all stayed in one piece somehow. Everything is pretty dirty, it all needs to come out and be evaluated and repaired. The carpet, pod, a pillars, and dash will go into the trash.

I was there in Sebring in 2001 as well, a sad day, Bob was a great competitor! Good to see the script fabric survived the heat, tough stuff! The rest is very typical of car left out in the elements. It will be a real stunner when brought back though!

How is the engine wiring harness?, seems like the 83-84, 4.7's are prone to internal corrosion.

Wow! Very Nice! I like the body color painted wheels! It is a shame the interior is so tired. I will enjoy watching you bring this back.

I have an image of Jim's car as my screensaver at work - for inspiration.

Anyone seen the earlier 928 seats with the script before? I can only find these types:

Not sure about the engine harness, mechanical evaluation in the coming weeks. It drove into the shop with shifting problems around 2010. The clutch was pulled out then work stopped. It was parked in the back and picked over a little bit, a lot of stupid stuff missing off it... caps, relays, things you can take without tools. The electrics are a mess...after market alarm, every relay poached out of the panel, some hack wiring. My parts horde will be taxed heavily on this one.

The first pearl "out the door" ? Time and research will hopefully tell.

there is/was one here in Vegas. LIsc plate "Hmngbrd"....pearl white on a full CanCan Red interior.
